Parvarish (transl. Upbringing) is a 1977 Hindi-language crime drama film directed by Manmohan Desai. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna as two brothers playing oneupmanship, because one brother believes he is adopted and not the real son. Shabana Azmi and Neetu Singh play the love interests. Amjad Khan and Kader Khan are the villains. Laxmikant Pyarelal gave the music to this film and Majrooh Sultanpuri the lyrics.

Avtaar became a superhit, and was critically acclaimed and it earned around 8 crores worldwide. The film earned several Filmfare award nominations. Rajesh Khanna received an All-India Critics Association (AICA) Best Actor Award for his performance in this film in 1983.

A remake of the Telugu film Ooruki Monagadu (1981), the film stars Jeetendra and Sridevi in lead roles. Himmatwala on release was a giant commercial success, grossing ₹5 crore, becoming one of the highest grossing Hindi films of 1980s. The film proved to be a breakthrough for Sridevi in Bollywood and launched her to stardom. Her dance number "Naino Mein Sapna" became a rage with Rediff stating that "the water pots may have dominated most frames in 'Naino Mein Sapna', but it was Sridevi's bejewelled outfits and headgears that stole the show".

It stars Jeetendra, Jaya Prada, Mandakini in lead roles and music composed by Bappi Lahiri. The film is shot simultaneously along with the Telugu film Simhasanam (1986); both the films were made by the same banner and director and some of the scenes and artists are the same in both versions. The film had also featured South Indian actress Radha in her second and final Hindi film to date. She'd reprised her role even in the Telugu version too, which had starred opposite Krishna Ghattamaneni.

She would make her comeback to Bollywood industry after a gap of 25 years later with the film, Hulchul by playing Kareena Kapoor Khan’s grandmother and hasn’t acted in any Hindi films further, since then.
