Aditi Chengappa is an Indian actress, who appears in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Hollywood cinema.

Early life

Aditi was born in Bangalore. Her father, Raj Chengappa, an Arebashe Gowda from Karnataka, is the editorial director of publishing The India Today Group (Noida), while her mother, Usha Chengappa, a Tamilian, is the Delhi Centre Head at Bharat Thakur's Artistic Yoga. [1] [2] She is related to Rukmini Devi Arundale, an Indian theosophist, dancer and choreographer of the Indian classical dance form of Bharatnatyam, [3] and Carnatic musician and playback singer D. K. Pattammal, both being her great grand aunts. [4]

Aditi studied at Vasant Valley School and then at Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi. [1] She has been trained in both Hindustani classical and western vocals. [1] She is also an accomplished pianist, representing both school and college. [2] She has stated "Music was my only passion till I became interested in acting. Music remains my first love". [2] She is a big fan of yoga and a gaming freak. [1] [3] When she was in college, she hosted a health show, "Bodylicious" on NDTV Good Times, with her mother Usha Chengappa . [1]

Career

She made her film debut in Telugu film Thakita Thakita . Her Tamil debut Konjam Koffee Konjam Kaadhal never had a theatrical release. [3] [5] She has completed a Hindi film, titled X , [6] which is directed by 11 filmmakers. [7] She is shooting for Gunasekhar's Telugu 3D period-drama Rudhramadevi , in which she plays Rudrama Devi's sister Ganapamba. [8] She has also signed two new Tamil projects, a science fiction film titled Ra [6] and a romantic comedy, Moone Moonu Vaarthai.

The music of the film was composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film was sensational hit at box office and ran for 200 days in two centers, 175 days in two centers and 100 days in all major centers. It was a commercial and critical success of the time. This film made Akash an overnight star of the Telugu film industry. Rudramadevi is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language 3D biographical action film based on the life of Rudrama Devi, one of the prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan, and one of the few ruling queens in Indian history. The film written and directed by Gunasekhar features Anushka Shetty in a title role as Rudramadevi, alongside an ensemble cast including Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet Virk, Krishnam Raju, Prakash Raj, Suman, Nithya Menen, Adithya, and Catherine Tresa. <i>C/o Kancharapalem</i> 2018 Indian-American film directed by Venkatesh Maha

C/o Kancharapalem is a 2018 Telugu-language slice of life anthology film written and directed by debutant Venkatesh Maha. It was produced by American filmmaker Praveena Paruchuri and distributed by Rana Daggubati under the banner of Suresh Productions. The film features a cast of over 80 non-actors, most of them native to Kancharapalem, a neighbourhood of Visakhapatnam where the film is set. The plot follows four unconventional love stories in parallel, all set in the neighbourhood of Kancharapalem.
