Aditi Saigal (born 21 September 1998), also known by her stage name DOT, is an Indian indie musician and actress. Saigal was featured by Forbes India in their 30 Under 30 list of 2024. [1]
Aditi Saigal is the daughter of Shena Gamat and Amit Saigal. Her mother is a Delhi-based theatre artist and actor and has worked in movies like Band Baaja Baraat [2] and Dev.D. Her father was affectionately known as Papa Rock in India's rock music community, who was a rock musician and the founder of India's first rock magazine, Rock Street Journal. Her parents mutually divorced in 2006. she was under the guardianship of her paternal grandparents Ashok Kumar Saigal and Madhu Saigal [3]

Aditi completed her schooling in India and later attended Bangor University in Wales, where she earned a degree in music and creative writing. Later she pursued a master's degree in curriculum and policy at the University of Glasgow.[ citation needed ]
Saigal began playing piano at the age of six, and was composing music by the age of 12. During her college years, she sung as part of a band. In 2017, her career catapulted to success with the viral hit ‘Everybody Dances to Techno,’ amassing over 500,000 plays. [4]
She released her first extended play (EP) called Khamotion in July 2021. [5] Her other songs include Everybody Dances to Techno.
Saigal made her acting debut in the Zoya Akhtar-directed 2023 film, The Archies playing Ethel Muggs. [6] [7] [8] [9]
