Adrian Papahagi (born 20 March 1976,Cluj) is a Romanian philologist,essayist,and politician [1] of Aromanian descent. In 2014,he was one of the founders of the People's Movement Party (PMP). [2] In March 2015,he founded,together with Monica Macovei a new political party,M10. [1] Papahagi is currently a lecturer at the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.
Papahagi has Aromanian ancestry,but has declared that "today,I do not feel more Aromanian than Romanian". [3] He is an alumnus of philology at Babeș-Bolyai University,specialized in English studies (1999) and of the University Paris IV-Sorbonne (1998). Between 1997 and 2000,he studied at École Normale Supérieure (Paris). He has a master's degree in medieval studies at University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (1999) and also Ph.D. ("summa cum laude") at the same university. He has taught old English at Paris Sorbonne University and at Catholic Institute of Paris between 1999 and 2003. Currently,he is a Lecturer at the English department of the Faculty of Letters,Babeș-Bolyai University. [4] In 2007 he founded in the university the Centre of History of Books and Texts (CODEX), [5] which aims to valorise the medieval manuscripts collection from Romania. Between 1996 and 1997,he was Editor-in-chief at the Echinox magazine (Cluj) and between 1999 and 2005,he was co-director at Echinox Publishing.

Papahagi was involved in a public dispute with the Romanian philosopher Mihai Șora after attacking his message following Fidel Castro's death. On the occasion,Mihai Șora called Papahagi "functionally illiterate". [6]
The Babeș-Bolyai University is a public research university located in Cluj-Napoca,Romania. It was created from a 1959 merger of Bolyai University and Victor BabeșUniversity,whose histories can be traced to the Academia/Universitas Claudiopolitana founded in 1581. Mihai Maniutiu is a Romanian-born theatre director,writer and theatre/performance theoretician. He has directed over eighty productions in important theatres,many of which have been toured internationally,broadcast on European TV channels,and won numerous awards in the categories for Best Director,Best Production,and Originality. Maniutiu is a professor at the Faculty of Theatre and Television of the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca,Romania and Artistic Director and General Manager of the National Theatre of Cluj. In addition to teaching directing,acting,and performance studies at the Faculty of Theatre and Television of the University of Cluj,and his position of General Director of the National Theatre in Cluj,Maniutiu has also been Artist-in-Residence at the Center of Excellence in Image Study at the University of Bucharest since Fall 2009.

Also known as a journalist,academic,literary historian and film critic,Cesereanu holds a teaching position at the Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB),and is an editor for the magazine Steaua in Cluj-Napoca.

He is also the Director of the Center on International Cooperation at Babeș-Bolyai University and as Director of the Centre for African Studies (Cestaf).
