Adrian R White is a Bahamian politician from the Free National Movement. [1] He is member of the Parliament of the Bahamas for St. Anne's. [2]
White completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of Buckingham. In 2001,he was admitted as a barrister of Gray's Inn and a counsel and attorney of the Bahamas Supreme Court. [3]

The economy of the Bahamas is dependent upon tourism and offshore banking. The Bahamas is the richest country in the West Indies and is ranked 14th in North America for nominal GDP. It is a stable,developing nation in the Lucayan Archipelago,with a population of 391,232 (2016). Steady growth in tourism receipts and a boom in construction of new hotels,resorts,and residences had led to solid GDP growth for many years. The slowdown in the Economy of the United States and the September 11 attacks held back growth in these sectors from 2001 to 2003.

However,Bahamian English also contains a unique pronunciation system and certain vocabulary,along a scale with the local Bahamian (Creole) dialect. Moreover,perceptions of a standard are more recently changing toward American English;in particular,21st-century news-industry and younger Bahamian speakers are often more influenced in their pronunciations by General American English or sometimes even African-American Vernacular English.

The monarchy of the Bahamas is a system of government in which a hereditary monarch is the sovereign and head of state of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Hubert Alexander Minnis,ON is a Bahamian politician and doctor who served as prime minister of the Bahamas from May 2017 to 16 September 2021. First elected to the legislature in the 2007 election,he succeeded Hubert Ingraham as party leader following the party's defeat in the 2012 election.

After release from federal prison in 1944,he moved to the Bahamas where he founded and operated a free trade zone,resort,and casino development at what would become Freeport,Grand Bahama. He is credited with the development of the modern Bahamian economy of offshore banking. He was suspected to have links with the Meyer Lansky syndicate operating offshore casinos from Miami Beach.
Dame Doris Sands Johnson was a Bahamian teacher,suffragette,and politician. She was the first Bahamian woman to contest an election in the Bahamas,the first female Senate appointee,and the first woman granted a leadership role in the Senate. Once in the legislature,she was the first woman to be made a government minister and then was elected as the first woman President of the Senate. She was the first woman to serve as Acting Governor General of the Bahamas,and was honored as Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II.
