AdventHealth Hendersonville is a non-profit hospital in Hendersonville, North Carolina owned by AdventHealth.
In 1910, Park Ridge Health was founded. [2] In 1984, Park Ridge Health was acquired by Adventist Health System. [3]
In 2012, three whistleblowers at Park Ridge Health sued Adventist Health System for fraud. When the lawsuit was filed the United States Department of Justice, Government of North Carolina, Government of Florida, Government of Tennessee and Government of Texas intervened. Adventist Health System agreed to settle the lawsuits for a total of $118.7 million on September 21, 2015. [4] [5] [6]
On April 6, 2013, Park Ridge Health announced that it would build a medical center in south Asheville, North Carolina at Biltmore Park for $10 million. The four-story, 25,000-square-foot medical center will be close to Interstate 26. It planned on consolidating six locations. [7] On April 9, 2013, Park Ridge Health had a ground breaking ceremony for its medical center. [8] [9] On September 4, 2014, their was a grand opening ceremony for Park Ridge Health South Asheville. [10]
On June 20, 2014, Park Ridge Health purchased a movie theater which was vacant for five years and surrounding land for $1.8 million. [2] [11] To build a new medical campus to consolidate its physician offices and outpatient services. [2] On December 15, demolition began on the movie theater. [12]
On August 1, 2018, Park Ridge Health created a partnership with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center to allow their physicians to fill job openings at Park Ridge Health. The partnership was created due to more patients at the hospital. [13] [14] On August 14, it was announced that Park Ridge Health would be rebranding its name to AdventHealth Hendersonville on January 2, 2019. [15] [16]
In late December 2018, Park Ridge Health was awarded a grant from The Duke Endowment for $730,000. It provided funding for the Phoenix Project, to help women who are victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking. [17] [18]
In late October 2023, AdventHealth Hendersonville announced that it was sponsoring the Ecusta Trail. [19] [20] The 19.4 miles biking/hiking trail is being constructed on an old railroad track that had been owned by Norfolk Southern Railway between Hendersonville and Brevard, North Carolina. AdventHealth Hendersonville has received an "A" grade by the Leapfrog Group sixteen consecutive times. [23] [24] [25] It was the only hospital in western North Carolina to win the Top General Award in 2021. [26] [27] It won the award again in 2022 [28] [29] and 2023. [30]
Hendersonville is a city in and the county seat of Henderson County, North Carolina, United States, located 22 miles (35 km) south of Asheville. Like the county, the city is named for 19th-century North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Leonard Henderson.

Mount Pisgah is a mountain in the Appalachian mountain range and part of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, United States. The mountain's height is 5,721 feet above sea level, and it sits approximately 15 miles southwest of Asheville, near the crossing of the boundaries of Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson and Transylvania counties. It is located on the border of Buncombe and Haywood counties, close to the point where Henderson and Transylvania meet them, but not actually within the latter two counties. The mountain is easily accessible via a hiking trail from the Blue Ridge Parkway, near the Pisgah Inn.

Adventist Health Glendale, located on Wilson Terrace, near California State Route 2 and California State Route 134, is one of the city's oldest businesses, founded in 1905, a year before Glendale was incorporated as a city. The railroad is owned by Watco of Pittsburg, Kansas, and operates three lines that connect in the Asheville area that were previously owned by Norfolk Southern. The railroad is based out of Canton, North Carolina, and utilizes 11 locomotives. Operations began on 26 July 2014.
