Agnidev Chatterjee is a Bengali film and television director and producer. [1] [2] His films include Babloo Bachelor , Tere Ane Ss , Jihadd , Gaheen Hriday , Dark Chocolate , A Political Murder , Mrs Sen , 3 Kanya , Charuulata 2011 , and Probhu Nashto Hoi Jai . [3]

Chatterjee started his career with the 1987 Bengali serial Chaudhury Pharmaceuticals. [4] In 2007, Chatterjee made the film Prabhu Nashto Hoi Jai which was premiered at Kolkata Film Festival and screened at the Kerala Film Festival. [2] In 2012, he released the film Charuulata 2011, which dealt with extra-marital relationships. In November 2012, his film Teen Kanya released which tells a story of lives of three women. [1] [2]

Debashree Roy also known as Debasree Roy, is an Indian actress, dancer, choreographer, politician and animal rights activist. As an actress, she is known for her work in Hindi and Bengali cinema. She has been cited as the reigning queen of Bengali commercial cinema. She acted in more than a hundred films and won over forty awards, including a National Award, three BFJA Awards, five Kalakar Awards and an Anandalok Award. As a dancer, she is known for her stage adaptations of the various forms of Indian folk dances as well as her innovative dance forms imbued with elements from Indian classical, tribal and folk dance. Prabhu Nosto Ho Jai is a 2007 Bengali film directed and produced by Agnidev Chatterjee. The entire movie was shot in a black and white setting. The story revolves around four individuals struggling to attain emotional stability. The duration of the movie is approximately 90 minutes. The story was written by Amitabha Chatterjee. The film stars Kunal Mitra as Anupam Chaudhury, father of Jhilmil Chaudhury who is played by Ananya Chatterjee. Anupam's wife, Aaloklata Chaudhury, is played by Locket Chatterjee. Jhilmil's friend, Maitrayee is played by Arunima Ghosh and Moinak Mitra is played by Kaushik Sen. This movie was premiered at the Kolkata Film Festival and was later on screened at the Kerala Film Festival. Because of the sexual nature of its content, this movie is said to possess similarities with another film of Agnidev's known as Charuulata 2011
