King Vulikhaya kaXolilizwe (Ahlangene Cyprian Sigcawu) is the King of Xhosa people. [1] He was born in 1970 in Nqadu Great Place in Willowvale by King Xolilizwe Sigcawu and Queen Nogaweni. He took over as the King in 2020 after the death of caretaker Xhosa King INkosi Nongudle Dumehleli Mapasa who took over following the death of his brother King Zwelonke Sigcawu in 2019. [2] He was a South African High Commissioner to Malawi before he could ascend the throne as the Xhosa King.

Life

King Ahlangene Cyprian Vulikhaya Sigcawu "Aa! Vulikhaya!" ascended the throne of Xhosa Kingdom in 2020 after a year of his brother's death King Zwelonke Sigcawu in 2019.

King Gwebi'nkumbi kaSigcawu was the king of the AmaXhosa Nation from 1902 until his death on the 30 May 1921. His father was King Sigcawu kaSarili.

Daliza Sigcawu was the regent and 8th king of the Gcaleka sub-group of the Xhosa nation after his brother Salukaphathwa Gwebi'nkumbi Sigcawu died on 30 May 1921 until he handed over the reign to his nephew Mpisekhaya Ngangomhlaba Sigcawu in 1923 when he was old enough. His father was Sigcawu ka Sarili.

King Zwelidumile KaGwebinkumbi was the King of the AmaXhosa Kingdom of South Africa from 3 June 1933 to the 9 April 1965. He took over the reins when his oldest brother Mpisekhaya Ngangomhlaba Sigcawu died. He was born near Willowvale in the Cape Colony to Salukaphathwa Gwebi'nkumbi Sigcawu.

King Xolilizwe KaZwelidumile was the King of the Xhosa people from 10 April 1965 to 31 December 2005. King Xolilizwe was an active member of the National House of Traditional Leaders. He was the oldest son of King Bungeni Zwelidumile Sigcawu.

King Zwelonke kaXolilizwe was a South African royal and King of the Xhosa people. He became king on 1 January 2006. Zwelonke was born at Nqadu Great Palace in Willowvale in the Eastern Cape to Xolilizwe Mzikayise Sigcawu and Nozamile.

The Rharhabe House is the second senior house of the Xhosa Kingdom. Its royal palace is in the former Ciskei and its counterpart in the former Transkei is the Gcaleka, which is the great house of Phalo.

King (iKumkani) Maxhob'ayakhawuleza Sandile was the son of the late King Mxolisi Sandile Aa! Bazindlovu, who was the son of King Archie Velile Sandile, and Queen Nolizwe, the daughter of Western Mpondoland King Victor Poto Ndamase Aa! Bhekuzulu and sister to the wife of Chief Thandathu Jongilizwe Mabandla of the AmaBhele aseTyhume royal clan. He was the 9th descendant of King Phalo, the Son of King Tshiwo.

The Gcaleka House is the Great house of the Xhosa Kingdom in what is now the Eastern Cape. Its royal palace is in the former Transkei and its counterpart in the former Ciskei is the Rharhabe, which is the right hand house of Phalo.

The Imidushane clan was founded by one of the greatest Xhosa warriors Prince Mdushane who was the eldest son of Chief Ndlambe, the son of Prince Rharhabe.

The Mpondomise people, also called AmaMpondomise, are a Xhosa-speaking people. Their traditional homeland has been in the contemporary era Eastern Cape province of South Africa, during apartheid they were located both in the Ciskei and Transkei region. Like other separate Xhosa-speaking kingdoms such as abaThembu and amaMpondo, they speak Xhosa and are at times considered as part of the Xhosa people.

Queen Mamani kaPhahlo was a Queen of the AmaMpondomise Kingdom in her own right from the year 1732, following after her father King Phahlo. She is also known as Queen Mbingwa. As the eldest among 3 daughters of the Great Wife of King Phahlo, she successfully challenged her half-brothers from the smaller houses for the throne upon the death of her father. Although, she married Princess Ntsibatha, a Mpondo Princess, she passed way on the 1758 without Any hairs to the Thorne. She was succeeded by one of her brothers, King Sonthlo, who she installed in her position despite challenges from Within the royal family members at that time

King Nyangelizwe, he is the son of King Victor Poto Ndamase Aa! Bhekuzulu! and the King of Western Mpondo in Libode. He is brother to Queen Nolizwe Ndamase-Sandile, the wife of amaRharhabe King Mxolisi Bazindlovu Sandile and mother of King Zanesizwe Sandile; Queen Nondwe Seziwe Ndamase-Sigcawu the wife of Xhosa King Xolilizwe Sigcawu; Chieftain Nolusapho Phumla Ndamase-Mabandla, the wife of first Chief Minister of Ciskei and AmaBhele aseTyhume Chief Thandathu Jongilizwe Mabandla.
He took over as the third and the last President of Transkei after Kaiser Matanzima from 20 February 1986 to 26 April 1994 under Transkei National Independence Party til as an Independent.
He died in 1997.
