Ahmed Jumah Jaber (born 29 December 1983) is a Qatari long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon.
Notable results include a 38th place at the 2004 Olympic Games, a 23rd place at the 2005 World Half Marathon Championships, [1] a fifth place at the 2006 Asian Games,[ citation needed ] and a 29th place at the 2007 World Road Running Championships. [1]
His personal best times are 28:40.96 minutes in the 10,000 metres, achieved in June 2006 in Neerpelt; 1:02:08 hours in the half marathon, achieved in October 2007 in Udine; and 2:14:48 hours in the marathon, achieved in April 2004 in the Hamburg Marathon. [1]

Isabella Bosibori Ochichi from Kenya was the silver medal winner in the final of the women's 5,000 meter race at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens, Greece. She finished in a time of 14:48.19, about 2.5 seconds behind the winner, Meseret Defar of Ethiopia.

Souad Aït Salem, also known as Souad Aït Mahour-Bacha is an Algerian long-distance runner who specializes mainly in the half marathon and marathon. She won gold in the 10,000 metres at the 2000 African Championships in Athletics and the 2005 Mediterranean Games. Salem also won the gold in the half marathon at the 2007 All-Africa Games. She holds the Algerian records for every women's event between 3000 metres and the marathon distance.
Lydia Cheromei is a Kenyan athlete born into a family of athletes. She specialises in long distance running. She rose to fame at the age of thirteen with a win in the junior race at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. She took some years away from competition, citing burnout, and returned in the mid-nineties, making an appearance at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Ahmed Ibrahim Baday is a Moroccan long-distance runner who specialized in the 5000 metres and cross-country running but now competes in road running competitions. He is currently banned for doping.
Benita Jaye Willis is an Australian long-distance runner, who is a three-time national champion in the women's 5,000 metres. Her foremost achievement is a gold medal in the long race at the 2004 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. She has also won team medals at that competition on two occasions. She has competed at the Summer Olympics four times and has twice represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games.
Zhu Xiaolin is a female Chinese long-distance runner, who specialises in marathons. She has won the Xiamen International Marathon and was third at the 2010 Rotterdam Marathon. She represented China at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and was fourth in the women's marathon.
