The Ahu River starts its journey from the Tonkra hill in Agar tehsil in Agar Malwa district. [1] It flows through the north-western boundary of the district, forming a natural border with Jhalawar District, Rajasthan. [2] The river's course is characterized by its meandering path as it winds through the landscape before merging with the Kali Sindh River. [3]

Geography

The Ahu River flows through the scenic landscapes of Shajapur District and Jhalawar District. Its waters originate from the heights of the Tonkra hill and eventually find their way to the Kali Sindh River. [4]

Tributaries

The Ahu River is relatively small and does not have major tributaries of its own. Its significance lies in its role as a contributor to the Kali Sindh River. [3]

The Gandaki River, also known as the Narayani and Gandak, is one of the major rivers in Nepal and a left-bank tributary of the Ganges in India. Gagron Fort is a hill and water fort and is situated in Jhalawar district of Rajasthan, in the Hadoti region of India. It is an example of a hill and water fort. The fort was built by Bijaldev Singh Dod in the twelfth century. Later, the fort has also been controlled by Sher Shah and Akbar. The fort is constructed on the confluence of Ahu River and Kali Sindh River. The fort is surrounded by water on three sides and a moat on the forth side and hence earned the name Jaladurg . At the 37th session of the World Heritage Committee at Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Gagron Fort, along with five other forts in Rajasthan, was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013 as a part of Hill Forts in Rajasthan.

Parban River originates in Madhya Pradesh and flows through Rajasthan. It is a tributary of the Kali Sindh. Parban/Parvan originates in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh and flows through Sehore, Shajapur and Rajgarh districts in Madhya Pradesh. It also flows through Jhalawar, Kota, Baran districts of Rajasthan. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Indore–Gwalior line</span> Railway line in India

The Gwalior Indore Manmad line is a railway route on the Western Railway, West Central Railway & North Central Railway section of Indian Railways. CRS inspection of RE work of Maksi Ruthiyai and Guna Gwalior has been done in Jul 2020. Now this route is fully electrified from Indore, Dewas, Maksi, Shajapur, Biyavra Rajgarh (BRRG), Ruthiyai, Guna, Shivpuri and Gwalior. This Gwalior, Guna, Ruthiyai, Maksi, Dewas, Indore Single Electrified Rail Line will be a connecting rail line for Indore Manmad Rail Line Project(under Central Railway, Bhusawal Division) and will boost the economical development in Malwa Region of Madhya Pradesh. The Indore Manmad Railway Line project covers 6 Districts in 2 States i.e., Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh will increase the existing network of Indian Railways by about 309 km.
