Digvijaya Singh is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha since 2014. He is a senior leader of the Indian National Congress and Ex-General Secretary of the Indian National Congress party's All India Congress Committee. Previously, he had served as the 14th and 15th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, a central Indian state, in two terms from 1993 to 1998 and from 1998 to 2003. Prior to that he was a minister in Chief Minister Arjun Singh's cabinet between 1980 and 1984. In 2019 Indian general election he was defeated by Pragya Singh Thakur for Bhopal Lok Sabha seat.
Joura Assembly constituency is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India. This constituency came into existence in 1951, as one of the 79 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile Madhya Bharat state.
Narayan Singh Kushwah alternatively spelt as Narayan Singh Kushwaha, is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Kushwah was a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Gwalior South constituency in Gwalior district. He was the former Minister of State for Home Affairs in the Shivraj Singh Chauhan cabinet. Kushwah has also served as the state president of Bhartiya Janata Party's Other Backward Class wing for the state of Madhya Pradesh.
Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held on 28 November 2018 to elect members of the 230 constituencies in Madhya Pradesh. The election was a direct political battle between the BJP and the INC. One of the main centers of attraction was the contest between Congress heavy-weight Arun Yadav and the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. While the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government had tried to win for consecutive 4th term, the INC fought for winning the state after 2003. The election led to a hung assembly, with the INC emerging as the single largest party and the BJP winning the popular vote. After the results, Congress and BSP formed the government with Kamal Nath becoming the chief minister.

Bharat Singh Kushwah, alternatively spelt as Bharat Singh Kushwaha, is an Indian politician from Madhya Pradesh, who was elected to Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Gwalior Rural Assembly constituency in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. Kushwah is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party and has served as Minister of State in the Ministry of Horticulture and Food Processing of Madhya Pradesh. He is a two term MLA from Gwalior Rural Assembly constituency. In 2024 Indian general election, he was elected to Lok Sabha from Gwalior Lok Sabha constituency.
