Ajumako is a town in Ghana. It is the capital of Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam district. It is famous for being the birthplace of Ottobah Cugoano, an abolitionist of the 18th century.

The natives are Fante except the people of Breman Essiam who trace their lineage to Breman, near Kumasi. The main occupation of the people is farming with emerging markets at Breman Essiam and Ajumako. The current Member of parliament of the district is Cassiel Ato Forson.

Cassiel Ato Baah Forson is a Ghanaian politician and member of parliament from 2009 to date. Dr. Forson first joined the Fifth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, before retaining his seat for the Sixth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana and the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam Constituency in the Central Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). In 2013 he served as the deputy minister for Finance.

Anthony Seibu Alec Abban was a Ghanaian teacher and politician. He was member of parliament in the first republic. He first served as a member of parliament for Ajumako-Asikuma electoral district from 1954 to 1965. In 1965 the constituency was split and he served as the member of parliament representing the Ajumako electoral area. He was also deputy minister in various portfolios in the first republic. In the third republic, he was a member of the People's National Party, the party that won the 1979 general election. Abban was a trained teacher. Prior to politics, he taught in various schools in the then Gold Coast.
