Stree is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language comedy horror film directed by debutant Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj & D.K. Reen, in her directorial debut, from a screenplay by Parveez Sheikh, and produced by Alia Bhatt, Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under the banners Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Productions. The film stars Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in the lead roles.
Rajkummar Rao is an Indian film actor who has his first lead role in Dibakar Banerjee's anthology film Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010). After a few supporting roles in films like Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2 (2012) and Talaash: The Answer Lies Within, his breakthrough came with the drama film Kai Po Che! in 2013. Monica, O My Darling is a 2022 Hindi-language neo-noir dark comedy crime thriller film directed by Vasan Bala. The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte. The movie was adapted from the 1989 Japanese novel Burutasu No Shinzou by Keigo Higashino. The film's title is taken from the 1971 film Caravan's song "Piya Tu Ab To Aja". It released on 11 November 2022 on Netflix.
Pranutan Bahl is an Indian actress and a professional lawyer, who primarily works in Hindi films. She is the daughter of actors Mohnish Bahl and Ekta Sohini. Bahl made her acting debut with Notebook (2019) for which she received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She has since starred in Helmet (2021).
Alia Bhatt is a British actress of Indian descent who predominantly works in Hindi films. As a child, she played a minor role in her father Mahesh Bhatt's production Sangharsh (1999), as the younger version of star Preity Zinta's character. In 2012, Bhatt had her first lead role in Karan Johar's teen film Student of the Year, but her performance in it was not well-received. Two years later, she gained praise for playing a kidnapping victim in the drama Highway (2014), winning the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. In the same year, her starring roles in the commercially successful romances 2 States and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, both produced under Johar's studio Dharma Productions, established her as a leading actress. She also sang the single "Samjhawan Unplugged" for the latter film's soundtrack.
The 68th Filmfare Awards is a ceremony, presented by The Times Group, honored the best Indian Hindi-language films of 2022.
