Akassh Sen, known simply as Akassh, [1] is a well known Indian Bengali music composer and singer.

Career

He is a music director of Bengali feature films and television. [2] [3] He is also a singer and composer. [4] His career started with his first album, Sweety, in 2004. Akassh Sen not only composes music for Indian films, but also composes music for the Bangladeshi films and albums as well. [5] One of his most popular and prominent music composition is "Kotobar Bojhabo Bol" from the film "Angaar" in the voice of Mohammad Irfan. In 2023, he composed the soundtrack of the highest grossing Bangladeshi film of all time Priyotoma , starring Shakib Khan and Idhika Paul. It received massive response from audience and one of his song named "O Priyotoma" has crossed over 100 million views on YouTube in just three months.

This includes over 75 Hindi films, 41 Bengali films, 27 Malayalam films, and a few Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Odia and Assamese films. His musical ability was widely recognised and acknowledged in the Indian film industry. He was an accomplished composer and arranger who was proficient in several musical instruments, including flute, the piano, and the esraj. Ami Shudhu Cheyechi Tomay is a 2014 Bengali-language romantic action comedy film directed by Ashok Pati and Anonno Mamun and produced by Ashok Dhanuka under the banner of Eskay Movies. The film was co-produced by Action Cut Entertainment. The film features Bengali actors Ankush Hazra, Subhashree Ganguly and Vikram Chatterjee in the lead roles. A co-production of India and Bangladesh, it is an official remake of the 2009 Telugu-language film Arya 2. The music for the film was composed by Savvy Gupta, Hridoy Khan and Akassh.

Password is a 2019 Bangladeshi action-thriller film directed by Malek Afsari. The film is produced by Shakib Khan and Mohammad Iqbal, under the banner of SK Films. It features Shakib Khan as Rudra, who, through his autistic younger brother Rusho, played by Emon, comes into possession of the password to a Swiss bank account. <i>Priyotoma</i> 2023 Bangladeshi film

Priyotoma is a 2023 Bangladeshi romantic action film. The film was directed by Himel Ashraf, and is the second he has directed. It was produced by Arshad Adnan under the banner of Versatile Media. The film story was written by late Faruk Hossain alone and Himel Ashraf jointly wrote the screenplay and dialogues with him. It is a tragic love story that left an indelible mark on Sumon's life, shattering his world and left him forever transformed, featuring Idhika Paul, Shahiduzzaman Selim and Lutfur Rahman George in the lead role. Many others including Elina Shammi, Don and Shiba Shanu performed important roles.

"O Priyotoma" is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language duet song sung by Balam and Somnur Monir Konal and composed by Akassh from the 2023 soundtrack album Priyotoma of the film of the same name, starring Shakib Khan and Idhika Paul. The song is written by Asif Iqbal. The song was released on 27 June 2023. The music video for the song was released on the same day under the music label Tiger Media.

"Eshwar" is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language duet song sung by Akib Zaman Riyad and composed by Prince Mahmud from the 2023 soundtrack album Priyotoma of the film of the same name, starring Shakib Khan and Idhika Paul. The song is written by Shomeshwar Oli, which released on 29 June 2023, the film's release date. The music video for the song was released on the same day under the music label Tiger Media.
