Akif Iqbal is a serving two-star general in the Pakistan Army. He is currently serving as the Director General of Counter Terrorism (DG CT) at ISI headquarter , Islamabad. [1]

Career

Iqbal commissioned in 37 Punjab Regiment 84th PMA Long Course in 1991.

He was promoted to the rank of Major General from Brigadier in 2019. [1]

He is currently serving as Director General, Counter Terrorism (DG CT) at ISI headquarter in Rawalpindi.

He has been awarded with Hilal-i-Imtiaz for his service in the army from the President of Pakistan, Arif Ali. [2]
