Akiko Furu (born 18 July 1973) is a Japanese trampoline gymnast. She competed in the women's trampoline event at the 2000 Summer Olympics held in Sydney, Australia. [1] She finished in 6th place. [1]
In 2001, she competed in the women's synchronized trampoline event at the 2001 World Games held in Akita, Japan. [2]
At the 2000 Summer Olympics, three different gymnastics disciplines were contested: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and trampoline. The artistic gymnastics and trampoline events were held at the Sydney SuperDome on 16–25 September and 22–23 September, respectively. The rhythmic gymnastics events were held at Pavilion 3 of the Sydney Olympic Park on 28 September – 1 October.
Karen Cockburn is a Canadian trampoline gymnast. She won a bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the individual event. She won a gold medal at the 2003 Trampoline World Championships in Hannover, Germany in the same event and a bronze in the team event. At the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics, she won a silver medal in the individual event.
Ayumi Ogasawara is a Japanese curler, born November 25, 1978, as Ayumi Onodera. She currently skips her own team in Sapporo, Hokkaido, which represented Japan at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Also she is a curling coach.
Anna Dogonadze is a German trampoline gymnast of Georgian origin who won a gold medal in the event of trampolining at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
Huang Shanshan is a female Chinese trampoline gymnast who won bronze in the individual competition at the 2004 Summer Olympics. In the 2012 Summer Olympics, she finished in second place.
Rosannagh "Rosie" MacLennan is a Canadian trampoline gymnast. She is the 2013 and 2018 World Trampoline champion, 2012 and 2016 Olympic champion, and 2011 and 2015 Pan American Games champion in the individual trampoline event. MacLennan was the Canadian National Women's champion in 2005, 2009 and 2011, and in 2007 was the World Champion in synchronized trampoline with Karen Cockburn. She has also won five silver and four bronze medals in World Championship competition in both the individual and synchro events. MacLennan trains at Skyrider's Trampoline Place in Richmond Hill, Ontario, with coach David Ross, who has coached all of Canada's Olympic trampolinists.
Anna Kozlova is a former synchronized swimmer who competed in three Olympic Games. After competing in the 1992 Summer Olympics and winning four European Championships representing the Soviet Union and its successor organizations, she defected to the United States in 1993. After missing the 1996 Atlanta Games due to a five-year wait to receive U.S. citizenship, she competed for her new country in Sydney, where her best placing was fourth. She went on to win gold medals in the Pan-American Games in 2003, before returning to her third and final Olympics in Athens, where she won two bronze medals.
Henrik Stehlik is a German trampoline gymnast and three-time Olympic athlete. He competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where he received a bronze medal in the men's trampoline event. Since then he has also competed in the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. Stehlik was also an active member of German Olympic Sports Federation.
Akiko Iwamoto is a Japanese rower. She was born in Nagano Prefecture. She competed in the Women's lightweight double sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics, reaching the semi-finals with her teammate Atsumi Fukumoto and ranking 12th overall. She competed in the same event at the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics, finishing 9th, 14th and 13th respectively. She won a silver medal in the Women's double sculls at the 2002 Asian Games. She also won a silver medal in the Women's lightweight double sculls at the 2006 Asian Games, and another silver medal in the Women's lightweight double sculls at the 2010 Asian Games.
Oxana Mykolayivna Tsyhuleva is a Ukrainian trampolinist who won a silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
Mai Nakamura is a Japanese synchronized swimmer. She competed in the women's team event at the 2012 Olympic Games and was part of the Japanese team that won bronze at the 2016 Olympics.
Charlotte Frances Drury is an American trampoline gymnast. At the 2014 Minsk World Cup, she finished at the top of the podium in the individual event, becoming the first American woman to win a gold medal in trampoline at a World Cup. That same year, she was crowned national champion at the USA Gymnastics Championships. She has been a member of the US Trampoline and Tumbling National Team since 2011, and was an alternate at the 2020 Summer Olympics games in Tokyo.
Bryony Kate Frances Page is a British individual trampoline gymnast. She is the 2021 women's individual trampoline world champion, and part of the British team that won team gold at the 2013 world championships.
