Akçaşehir is a town ( belde ) in the Karaman District, Karaman Province, Turkey. [2] Its population is 2,172 (2022). [1] It is 45 kilometres (28 mi) northeast of Karaman. Akçaşehir is an old settlement. According to mayor's page the foundation date of the town may be 5000 years ago (Bronze Age). During the early Middle Ages it was a part of the Byzantine Empire. However, there are only a few remains from the deep history. [3] Various Turkmen tribes as well as a Pechenek tribe settled in Akçaşehir in the late 11th and 12th centuries. It was a part of Seljuks in the 13th century, a part of Karamanids in the 14th and early 15th centuries and later a part of Ottoman Empire. The town is situated in a vast plain. Traditional crops are cereals. But lately apple production is on the rise.
Akçakoca is a town in Düzce Province, in the East Marmara region of Turkey, located about 200 km east of Istanbul. It is the seat of Akçakoca District. Its population is 27,878 (2022). It is 18 kilometres (11 mi) west of Karaman on the state highway D.715 which connects Karaman to Konya. Yollarbaşı is an old settlement. It was probably founded during the Phrygian era. During the Roman era it was a city of Isaura. Although not supported by sources, the town people believe that the town may be Lystra, one of the important cities which Paul the Apostle visited. Modern scholars place the ancient town of Ilistra at or near Yollarbaşı. There are six church ruins in the town. Yollarbaşı is a typical Central Anatolian town where the main economic activity is agriculture.

It is situated to the west of the Karadağ Mountain. The distance to Karaman is 35 km (22 mi). The name of the town means "poor" in older Turkish, because the earliest inhabitants were nomads. The town was founded as a result of an operation of the Ottoman Empire government to settle the nomadic tribes in 1887. The government settled the Turkmen tribe named Sarıkeçili in the Kisecik. In 1991 the settlement was declared a seat of township. The main crops of the town are cereals, legume and sugarbeet.
Karabörk is a village in Çanakçı District of Giresun Province, Turkey. Its population is 745 (2022). Between 1992 and the 2013 reorganisation, it was a town (belde). It is situated in the valley of Çanakçı creek, in the middle of dense forestry of the Black Sea Region. The distance to Çanakçı is 17 kilometres (11 mi) and to Giresun is 85 kilometres (53 mi). In Karabörk the Ottoman rule began by 1461 during the reign of Mehmet II. According to 1515 Ottoman records, it was a small settlement population of which was composed of Turks and Greeks. In the early 1700s, Turks of Çepni tribe also settled in the settlement. Ottomans mined copper in the Kırtlak mine close to Karabörk. In the early 20th century, Greek population left the settlement and during the First World War, the town suffered a brief occupation of the Russian army.
