Alan Otto Charles Verrinder (born 28 July 1955) is an English former cricketer. Verrinder played as a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm fast-medium. He was born at Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. [1]
Verrinder made his first-class cricket debut for Surrey County Cricket Club against Middlesex in the 1974 County Championship. He made two further first-class appearances for Surrey, both in 1976, and played in three List A matches for the county. [2]
Verrinder joined Kent in 1977, but made just a single first-class appearance against Cambridge University. [2]
Alistair Duncan Brown is a former English cricketer who played for Surrey County Cricket Club, before moving to Nottinghamshire for the 2009 season. He was nicknamed "Lordy", in allusion to Ted Dexter because of his big-hitting, confident batting style. He was a right-hand bat and occasional right-arm off-break bowler, who made 16 One Day International appearances for England between 1996 and 2001, with a best of 118.
