Antony Albert is an Indian film director. His debut film as a director is critically acclaimed Kanne Madanguka (2005). He is the director of Nairsan , a forthcoming Indo-Japanese historical film, [1] based on the legendary Indian freedom fighter A. M. Nair, popularly known as Nairsan in Japan, with the rare combination of Jackie Chan, Mohanlal and A. R. Rahman.
Albert is now in Mudavanmugal, Trivandrum, Kerala, and he was born in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Albert native and did his schooling in Marthandam and took his bachelor's degree from University, Hyderabad and from the Govt. Film Institute of Chennai.
Albert's debut film Kanne Madanguka (2005) was selected for Indian Panorama 2005 screened at the International Film Festival of India, Goa (2005) and other overseas film festivals 2005–2006. It won three Kerala State Film Awards for Best actress, Best child artiste and Best processing. [2]
Albert is the man behind Nairsan . Having identified the story and having invested a lot of his time and money in research, rights and backing, he is now raring to see the project go on the floors. It has a rare combination of Mohanlal, Jackie Chan and the Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman. Japan, Mongolia and India are the main locations of this huge budgeted project.
His high-points of the film were winning the Aravindan Puraskaram Best debut Director award in 2005, Padmarajan Special Jury Award for best director (2006) and John Abraham special jury award (2005). His passion and vision on Nairsan is complemented by his tremendous urge to be open and discover new eras on the subject and to create a truly international class Asian film, spanning many cultures, languages and religions.

Malayalam cinema is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Malayalam language, which is widely spoken in the state of Kerala, India. In 1982, Elippathayam won the Sutherland Trophy at the London Film Festival, and Most Original Imaginative Film of 1982 by the British Film Institute. The film Marana Simhasanam has won the prestigious Caméra d'Or at the 1999 Cannes Film Festival.
Mohanlal Viswanathan is an Indian actor, film producer, playback singer, film distributor, and director who predominantly works in Malayalam film industry besides also having sporadically appeared in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films. Mohanlal has a prolific career spanning over four decades, during which he has acted in more than 400 films. Mohanlal's contributions to the Malayalam cinema have been praised by his contemporaries in the Indian film industry. The Government of India honoured him with Padma Shri in 2001, and Padma Bhushan in 2019, India's fourth and third highest civilian honours, for his contributions to Indian cinema. In 2009, he became the first actor in India to be awarded the honorary rank of lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army. Padmarajan Padmanabhan Pillai better known as P.Padmarajan was an Indian film maker, screenwriter and author who was known for his works in Malayalam literature and Malayalam cinema. He was the founder of a new school of film making in Malayalam cinema, along with Bharathan and K. G. George, in the 1980s.

Jayaram Subramaniam, known mononymously as Jayaram, is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema, in addition to Tamil and Telugu language films. He is also a chenda percussionist, mimicry artist, and occasional playback singer. Jayaram has acted in more than 200 films and has received several awards, including the Padma Shri, two Kerala State Film Awards, one Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, and four Filmfare Awards South.
Thanmathra is a 2005 Indian Malayalam-language drama film written and directed by Blessy, based on Padmarajan's short story "Orma". It portrays the effects of Alzheimer's disease on the life of Ramesan Nair (Mohanlal) and his family. The film collected three times its budget at the box-office and completed 150 days run. Thanmathra won five Kerala State Film Awards, which includes the Best Film, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and a Special Mention Award for the debutant actor Arjun Lal. It also won the Best Feature Film in Malayalam Award at the 53rd National Film Awards.
Blessy Ipe Thomas is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Malayalam cinema. Aravindan Puraskaram (Aravindan Award) is an award instituted in 1991 in the memory of iconic Malayalam filmmaker G. Aravindan for the best debutant director in Indian languages. The award comprises Rs. 25,000, a memento and a citation. The award is facilitated by Kerala Chalachitra Film Society. The award is presented on March 15 every year on the death anniversary of Aravindan, who is considered one of the pioneers of parallel cinema in Malayalam.
