The album was produced by Kevin Army. [6] It was recorded at multiple studios around the Bay Area, to ensure that the songs were sonically distinct. [6] The album's sound differed from the band's previous two efforts, incorporating organ, keyboards, and acoustic instrumentation. [7] [8]
The Dallas Observer deemed Alcatraz "a good, old-fashioned rock album." [9] SF Weekly wrote: "Deliberately seeking out the sonically claustrophobic atmosphere of such '80s favorites as Elvis Costello's Armed Forces and Joe Jackson's I'm the Man, the album achieves a level of nearly paranoid musicianship, rife with extemporaneous fills and exceedingly tight instrumental interplay." The Miracle of Shame is an EP by the Berkeley, California punk rock band The Mr. T Experience, released in 2000 by Lookout! Records. It is the band's only release to include bassist Gabe Meline as an official member, though he had previously recorded with the band in a studio capacity on the 1999 album Alcatraz. Meline replaced bassist Joel Reader, who left the group after the recording of Alcatraz. The Miracle of Shame also includes Erik Noyes on hammond organ, who had recorded with the band on Revenge is Sweet, and So Are You and Alcatraz but had never been an official member. He joined the band officially for touring in the Summer of 1999 but did not stay with the group long.
Let It Be... Naked is an alternative mix of the Beatles' 1970 album Let It Be, released on 17 November 2003 by Apple Records. The project was initiated by Paul McCartney, who felt that the original album's producer, Phil Spector, did not capture the group's stripped-down, live-to-tape aesthetic intended for the album. Naked consists largely of newly mixed versions of the Let It Be tracks while omitting the excerpts of incidental studio chatter and most of Spector's embellishments. It also omits two tracks from the 1970 release – "Dig It" and "Maggie Mae" – replacing them with "Don't Let Me Down", which was the non-album B-side of the "Get Back" single.

Last Words: The Final Recordings is the eighth and final studio album by the American rock band the Screaming Trees. The album itself was recorded two years after their album Dust. Shortly after Dust was released, Epic Records decided to drop the band. However, in the years of 1998 and 1999, the band recorded the album in Pearl Jam's guitarist Stone Gossard's studio. Due to the band's break-up in 2000, and Mark Lanegan's refusal to perform with the band, the album wasn't released for twelve years until drummer Barrett Martin released it on his own label, Sunyata Records. The album received mixed reviews.

Face To Face is the sixth studio album by American gospel/soul singer Cissy Houston, released in 1996 on the House of Blues Music distributed by BMG.
