Alejandro Castellanos (born August 29, 1979) is a Honduran former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. [1] Castellanos represented Honduras at the 2000 Summer Olympics, where he became the nation's flag bearer in the opening ceremony.

Castellanos competed only in the men's 100 m freestyle at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. [2] He received a Universality place from FINA, in an entry time of 53.43. [3] He challenged seven other swimmers in heat three, including Trinidad and Tobago's 16-year-old George Bovell and Seychelles' three-time Olympian Kenny Roberts. He rounded out the field to last place in 54.06, just 0.63 seconds below his entry standard. Castellanos failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed sixty-fourth overall in the prelims. While studying in the United States, he played for the Bolles School's Sharks Club, under head coach Gregg Troy, and later for the Clemson University's swimming and diving team, also known as the Clemson Tigers. Christophe Lim Wen Ying is a Mauritian former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. Lim competed for Mauritius in the men's 100 m freestyle at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He received a Universality place from FINA, in an entry time of 54.14. He challenged six other swimmers in heat two, including 15-year-olds Ragi Edde of Lebanon and Dawood Youssef of Bahrain. He raced to a third-place finish in 54.33, just 0.19 seconds below his entry standard and 0.78 behind leader Gregory Arkhurst of Côte d'Ivoire. Ragi Edde is a Lebanese former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. Edde competed for Lebanon in the men's 100 m freestyle, as a 15-year-old, at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He received a Universality place from FINA, in an entry time of 55.00. He challenged six other swimmers in heat two, including fellow 15-year-old Dawood Youssef of Bahrain. He edged out Congo's Marien Michel Ngouabi to overhaul a minute barrier and pick up a fifth seed by 1.13 seconds in 59.26. Edde failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed sixty-eighth overall in the prelims.

Marien Michel Ngouabi is a Congolese former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. Ngouabi represented the Republic of the Congo at the 2000 Summer Olympics, where he became the nation's flag bearer in the opening ceremony. He is also the grandson of Marien Ngouabi, the former president of the Republic of the Congo.
