Alex Mangels (born July 29, 1993) is an American soccer player.
Mangels spent his entire college career at the University of California, Berkeley between 2012 and 2015, including a red-shirted year in 2011. [1]
Mangels signed with United Soccer League club Tulsa Roughnecks on February 27, 2016. [2] In 2017 he joined the San Francisco Deltas of the North American Soccer League (NASL). He made one appearance for the 2017 NASL Champions, before the Club folded weeks after winning the League.
In 2018, Mangels signed with USL side Portland Timbers 2.
On January 18, 2019, Mangels joined USL League One club Chattanooga Red Wolves ahead of their inaugural season. [3]
The Tulsa Roughnecks (1978–1984) were a North American Soccer League (NASL) team from Tulsa, Oklahoma. It played its home games at Skelly Stadium on the campus of the University of Tulsa. The team, previously Team Hawaii, moved to Tulsa after the 1977 season. In 1983, Alex Skotarek became general manager and led one of the lowest-budgeted teams in the NASL to a championship, defeating Toronto, 2–0, at Soccer Bowl '83.

The Oklahoma City Slickers was the name given to two different American soccer clubs based in Oklahoma City. The first team competed in the second American Soccer League in 1982 and 1983.
