Alexander Moskalenko (born November 4, 1969) is a Russian former competitive trampoline gymnast. He is the 2000 Olympic champion [1] and 2004 Olympic silver medalist in men's individual trampoline.
In the first half of the 1990s, Moskalenko won three world titles in individual trampoline (1990, 1992, 1994) and two in synchro (1992, 1994).
Moskalenko came out of retirement in 1998, when he learned that individual trampoline would become an Olympic discipline in 2000. It became a FIG discipline on 1 January 1999. Moskalenko decided to submit himself to a rigorous training programme to reestablish himself at the top of the ranking list and qualify for the Olympics. At the 1999 World Championships, he won gold in individual and synchro.
At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Moskalenko became the first Olympic champion in men's trampoline, finishing ahead of Australia's Ji Wallace. The following year, he won gold in individual and synchro at the 2001 World Championships. He was awarded the silver medal at the 2003 World Championships behind Germany's Henrik Stehlik.
Moskalenko suffered from back pain during the whole of 2004. He won the silver medal behind Ukraine's Yuri Nikitin at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. He retired on July 30 at the Dobrovolski World Cup in Krasnodar and was presented with a race horse. Almost thirty champions of different sports were present at the ceremony.
Karen Cockburn is a Canadian trampoline gymnast. She won a bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the individual event. She won a gold medal at the 2003 Trampoline World Championships in Hannover, Germany in the same event and a bronze in the team event. At the 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics, she won a silver medal in the individual event.
Rosannagh "Rosie" MacLennan is a Canadian retired trampoline gymnast. She is the 2013 and 2018 World Trampoline champion, 2012 and 2016 Olympic champion, and 2011 and 2015 Pan American Games champion in the individual trampoline event. MacLennan was the Canadian National Women's champion in 2005, 2009 and 2011, and in 2007 was the World Champion in synchronized trampoline with Karen Cockburn. She has also won five silver and four bronze medals in World Championship competition in both the individual and synchro events. MacLennan trains at Skyrider's Trampoline Place in Richmond Hill, Ontario, with coach David Ross, who has coached all of Canada's Olympic trampolinists.
Alexandra Lindsay "Alex" Croak is an Australian diver and gymnast who is a dual Olympic representative. She represented Australia as a gymnast at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and after a strong performance at the 2008 Australian national Diving Championships, she was selected for Australia's diving team for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She is the first Australian athlete to win gold medals at the Commonwealth games in two different disciplines. She was also an Australian Institute of Sport gymnastics and diving scholarship holder.
Matthew John Mitcham OAM is an Australian retired diver and trampolinist. As a diver, he was the 2008 Olympic champion in the 10m platform, and he is the 2nd highest single-dive score in Olympic history. This made him the first openly gay athlete to win an Olympic gold medal. He is also the first Australian male to win an Olympic gold medal in diving since Dick Eve at the 1924 Summer Olympics.
Dong Dong is a Chinese trampoline gymnast. He is an Olympic champion and four-time medalist, winning gold at London 2012, silver at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, and bronze at Beijing 2008. Between 2007 and 2014, he made the podium at every World Championships and Olympics.
Dmitri Vladimir "Dima" Poliaroush is a Belarusian gymnastics coach and former competitive trampolinist. He is a six-time World Champion, seven-time European Champion, and twenty-time World Cup winner. He competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics and the 2004 Summer Olympics, finishing fifth and fourth respectively. Poliaroush was the first man to perform a “Double Full In – Double Full Out” on trampoline and the skill is named after him. He is the only person who has been an active trampolinist and trampoline coach at the Olympic Games.
Blake Gaudry is an Australian trampoline gymnast. He was the Australian trampoline champion in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, and the national champion in the synchro event in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014. He was selected to represent Australia at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics in the event.
Oxana Mykolayivna Tsyhuleva is a Ukrainian trampolinist who won a silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
Uladzislau Alehavich Hancharou is a Belarusian male trampoline gymnast. He is the 2016 Olympic champion in men's individual trampoline.
Bryony Kate Frances Page is a British trampoline gymnast. She won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris in individual trampoline. She is the 2021 and 2023 women's individual trampoline world champion, and part of the British team that won team gold at the 2013 world championships, and all-around team gold in 2022.
Léa Labrousse is a French trampolinist. She is a two-time World silver medalist and the 2019 European Games individual champion. She became the first French woman to win gold at the European Trampoline Championships with her synchro partner Marine Jurbert. She represented France at the 2020 Summer Olympics and will compete at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Dylan Matthew Schmidt is a New Zealand trampoline gymnast. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics and finished in seventh place. He was New Zealand's first athlete to compete in trampoline at the Olympic Games. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, he won the bronze medal and became New Zealand's first Olympic medallist in any gymnastics discipline. He became the individual trampoline world champion at the 2022 Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships and is New Zealand's first world champion in men's trampoline. He won the gold medal in the individual event at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics.
Zhu Xueying is a Chinese trampoline gymnast and Olympic champion. At the 2017 Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships, she won gold medals in the synchro and team events. At the 2018 Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships, she won silver in the individual event and gold in the team event. In July 2021, she won the gold medal in the women's trampoline event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Ivan Uladzimiravich Litvinovich is a Belarusian trampoline gymnast. He represented Belarus at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won the gold medal in the men's trampoline individual event. He again won the gold medal in the individual event at the 2024 Summer Olympics, as an Individual Neutral Athlete, making him the first male trampoline athlete ever to win two gold medals in the Olympics and the only AIN to win gold. He is a two-time World champion and the 2021 European champion in the individual team event, and he is the 2019 World individual silver medalist.
Dafne Carolina Navarro Loza is a Mexican trampoline gymnast. She is the 2018 and 2022 World synchro bronze medalist and was Mexico's first World medalist in trampoline. As an individual, she became Mexico's first Pan American Games medalist in trampoline when she won the silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games, and she won the bronze medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. She competed at the 2020 Olympic Games, becoming the first trampoline gymnast to represent Mexico at the Olympics.
Aliaksei Aleksandrovich Shostak is an American trampoline gymnast. He represented the United States at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics. He is the son of Belarusian Olympian Aleksandr Shostak.
Pierre Gouzou is a French trampoline gymnast. He is a 2023 World and a two-time European team champion. He is a two-time individual European silver medalist and a three-time World synchro bronze medalist. He will represent France at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
