Alexander Wolfe (born 24 December 1981) is an English singer-songwriter and musician.
Born Alexander Gordon in Cambridge, he moved to Woolwich in South East London as a child. Upon leaving school he formed his first band, 'Taxi', with Jamie Cullum, after a chance encounter in a guitar shop on London's Denmark Street. The band toured supporting Paul Weller before finally imploding in the summer of 2002 due, partly, to Cullum's pending solo deal with Universal and partly due to musical differences. During this time Alexander's grandmother Betty died. He took her maiden name 'Wolfe' as his own and decided to pursue a solo career.
Alexander released his debut album Morning Brings a Flood in March 2010, his second album Skeletons in September 2012, his third From The Shallows in October 2014 and his most recent full length album ‘Little Death’ in 2020.
Since its release in March 2010 Morning Brings a Flood has garnered significant critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. The New York Post called it "the most beautiful album heard in years. Period"[ citation needed ] as well as four-star reviews in Q magazine and Uncut which described the album as, "An object lesson in how to wring out every last drop of emotion".[ citation needed ] The Sunday Times declared it, "A beautiful album".[ citation needed ]
"Song For the Dead" was used as the opening and closing music for BBC 2 sitcom, Whites , starring Alan Davies. The album was released on Dharma Records in March 2010. It was preceded by the double A-side single "Till Your Ship Comes In" / "Teabags In Ashtrays" which was released in November 2009. "Song for the Dead" was released as a single in May 2010. The Breakdown EP was issued in July 2010.
Wolfe's second album Skeletons is a mainly acoustic collection, recorded in the house he grew up in Woolwich, South East London.
The album was preceded by two singles, a dark reworking of the Neil Young song, "Don't Let It Bring You Down", in April 2012 and the title track of the album, "Skeletons", in July 2012.
His third album 'From The Shallows', was released in October 2014.
From The Shallows features two guest vocals from singer-songwriter Gabrielle Aplin, the first on "Still Life", and also on the penultimate acoustic ode to lost love "Love Is All There Is". Hudson Taylor also add their vocals to album's closing track, "Set Your Shadow Free".
The album was preceded two singles; "Trick of the Light" which was released in August 2014, which received widespread regional and national radio play, and "Sunburn", released in September 2014 which featured an accompanying fan made video, featuring a guest cameo from Huey Morgan from Fun Lovin' Criminals. The video budget going to The Children's Trust.
Alexander released his fourth solo album, Little Death, in 2019.
The album was preceded by a number of singles; "I Can't Get to Sleep", "Oslo", "Breaking The Fall", "Catherine", "Your Love Is a Wheel" and finally "Avalanche", which featured an animated video collaboration with Brazilian filmmaker Ferristico.
Wolfe wrote and performed the opening and closing music for the BBC series Whites , "Song for the Dead".
Wolfe wrote the soundtrack for the television series, Flack .
Jamie Cullum is an English jazz-pop singer-songwriter and radio presenter. Although primarily a vocalist and pianist, he also accompanies himself on other instruments, including guitar and drums. He has recorded eight studio albums, three compilation albums, one live album and twenty-four singles. Since April 2010, he has presented a weekly Tuesday evening jazz show on BBC Radio 2.
Richard Paul Ashcroft is an English singer and songwriter. He was the lead singer and occasional rhythm guitarist of the alternative rock band The Verve from their formation in 1990 until their original split in 1999. Songs he wrote for the band include "Bitter Sweet Symphony", "Lucky Man", and the UK number one "The Drugs Don't Work". He became a successful solo artist, releasing three UK top three solo albums. The Verve reformed in 2007 but again broke up by summer 2009. Ashcroft then founded a new band, RPA & The United Nations of Sound, and released a new album on 19 July 2010. Ashcroft released his fourth solo album, These People, on 20 May 2016.
Andrew Maurice Gold was an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and record producer who influenced much of the Los Angeles-dominated pop/soft rock sound in the 1970s. Gold played on scores of records by other artists, most notably Linda Ronstadt's, and had his own success with the U.S. top 40 hits "Lonely Boy" (1977) and "Thank You for Being a Friend" (1978), as well as the UK top five hit "Never Let Her Slip Away" (1978). In the 1980s, he had further international chart success as one half of Wax, a collaboration with 10cc's Graham Gouldman.
The Coral are an English rock band, formed in 1996 in Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula, Merseyside. The band emerged during the early 2000s. Their 2002 debut album The Coral, from which came the single "Dreaming of You", was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and listed as the fourth best album of the year by NME Magazine. Their second album, Magic and Medicine (2003), produced four UK Top 20 singles, including "Pass It On". In 2008, after guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones left the band, they continued as a five-piece.
"Planet Telex" and "High and Dry" are songs by the English alternative rock band Radiohead, released as a double-A side single from their second studio album, The Bends (1995), on 5 March 1995. "High and Dry" was recorded as a demo during the sessions of Radiohead's first album, Pablo Honey (1993), and remastered for inclusion on The Bends. Two music videos were produced for "High and Dry".

Michael Emanuel, better known by his stage name Michale Graves, is an American vocalist and songwriter. He is best known as the lead singer for the 1990s re-incarnation of the Misfits from 1995 to 2000, leaving briefly in 1998. Graves grew up in Dumont, New Jersey. He has also released several albums as a solo artist.
"Come Softly to Me" is a popular song recorded by The Fleetwoods, composed of Gretchen Christopher, Barbara Ellis, and Gary Troxel, who also wrote it. The original title was "Come Softly", but was changed en route to its becoming a hit. Bob Reisdorf, the owner of Dolphin Records, which in 1960 changed to Dolton Records, was responsible for the title change. He thought that "Come Softly" might be too obvious and considered risqué, so he had it changed to "Come Softly to Me." The title phrase never appears in the song's lyrics.
Clint Lowery is an American musician, songwriter and producer, best known as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist of the heavy metal band Sevendust. He has also played in Dark New Day and Still Rain, and served as the touring guitarist for Korn and Seether through most of 2007 and 2017, respectively. In 2008, he decided to work on new music as a solo artist, and the name of the project was titled Hello Demons Meet Skeletons. Lowery wrote and recorded a six-song EP while off the road with Sevendust, just for a week. He played every instrument on the CD, which was produced by his brother Corey Lowery. The EP, Chills, was released in October, followed by a tour at the same month. He would also later release two more EPs with HDMS. Also his fourth and last EP, Choices, was released in 2013.
Richard Alexander "Ricky" Ross is a Scottish singer-songwriter and broadcaster who is the current lead singer of the rock band Deacon Blue. Alongside his discography with Deacon Blue, Ross has released a number of solo albums, his first, So Long Ago was released in 1984.
Cross That Line is the fourth album by British pop musician Howard Jones, released in March 1989. It featured two hit singles "The Prisoner" and "Everlasting Love", though neither of these singles nor the album itself were successful in Jones's native UK.

Victoria Wenonah Banks is a Nashville-based Canadian singer and songwriter. Her self-produced debut CD When You Can Fly was released on the On Ramp/EMI Canada label in April 2009. The CD earned Banks a 2010 Canadian Indie Award nomination and six nominations at the 2009 Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMAs) including Album of the Year, Producer of the Year, Single of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Female Artist of the Year and Rising Star, making Banks the most nominated female artist of 2009. "The Wheel," the album's first single, reached the Top 20 on the Radio & Records Country Singles chart earning her a 2010 Canadian Radio Music Award nomination. Music videos for "The Wheel" and "When You Can Fly" received airplay on CMT Canada.
"The Flood" is a song by English recording artist Cheryl Cole. The song was written by Priscilla Hamilton and Wayne Wilkins, for Cole's second studio album, Messy Little Raindrops (2010). It was released on 2 January 2011 through Fascination Records, as the album's second and final single. The song, produced by Wilkins and Antwoine Collins, has lyrics that refer to a "natural disaster love" and make many allusions to shipwreck, the sea, and water.
