Alexandre Mas (born c. 1978) is William S. Tod Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University, [1] Director of the Industrial Relations Section at Princeton University, [2] and Director of the Labor Studies program of the National Bureau of Economic Research. [3] He is a former Chief Economist of the United States Department of Labor and Associate Director for Economic Policy at the Office of Management and Budget. [4] [5]

David Card Canadian economist (b. 1956)

David Edward Card is a Canadian-American labour economist and professor of economics at the University of California, Berkeley. He was awarded half of the 2021 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences "for his empirical contributions to labour economics", with Joshua Angrist and Guido Imbens jointly awarded the other half.

Claudia Goldin American economist

Claudia Goldin is an American economic historian and labor economist who is currently the Henry Lee Professor of Economics at Harvard University. She is a co-director of the NBER's Gender in the Economy Study Group and was the director of the NBER’s Development of the American Economy program from 1989 to 2017. Goldin's research covers a wide range of topics, including the female labor force, the gender gap in earnings, income inequality, technological change, education, and immigration. Most of her research interprets the present through the lens of the past and explores the origins of current issues of concern. Her recently completed book Career & Family: Women's Century-Long Journey toward Equity was released on October 5, 2021.

IZA Prize in Labor Economics

The Institute for the Study of Labor awards a prize each year for outstanding academic achievement in the field of labor economics. The IZA Prize in Labor Economics has become a highly prestigious science award in international economics, is the only international science prize awarded exclusively to labor economists and is considered the most important award in labor economics worldwide. The prize was established in 2002 and is awarded annually through a nomination process and decided upon by the IZA Prize Committee, which consists of internationally renowned labor economists. As a part of the prize, all IZA Prize Laureates contribute a volume as an overview of their most significant findings to the IZA Prize in Labor Economics Series published by Oxford University Press.

Cecilia Rouse American economist, Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers

Cecilia Elena Rouse is an American economist who has served as the 30th Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers since March 2021. She is the first African American to hold this position. Prior to this, she served as the dean of the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. Joe Biden nominated Rouse to be Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers in November 2020.

Dora L. Costa is an American economics professor at the University of California, Los Angeles where she is the Kenneth L. Sokoloff Professor of Economic History. She is also the department chair of the economics department. In addition to her teaching position, Costa is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).

Janet Currie is a Canadian-American economist and the Henry Putnam Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University's School of Public and International Affairs, where she is Co-Director of the Center for Health and Wellbeing. She served as the Chair of the Department of Economics at Princeton from 2014–2018. She also served as the first female Chair of the Department of Economics at Columbia University from 2006–2009. Before Columbia, she taught at the University of California, Los Angeles and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She was named one of the top 10 women in economics by the World Economic Forum in July 2015. She was recognized for her mentorship of younger economists with the Carolyn Shaw Bell award from the American Economics Association in 2015.

John Maron Abowd is the Associate director for research and methodology and chief scientist of the US Census Bureau, where he serves on leave from his position as the Edmund Ezra Day Professor of Economics, professor of information science, and member of the Department of Statistical Science at Cornell University.

Jesse Rothstein is an economist, and currently Professor of Public Policy & Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2010, he was Chief Economist at the US Department of Labor. He is the founding director of the California Policy Lab, a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, and is a member of the editorial boards of Education Finance and Policy, Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Review, and Industrial Relations.

Henry Stuart Farber is an American economist and the Hughes-Rogers Professor of Economics at Princeton University. His research revolves around different topics related to labor economics, econometrics, law and economics, and industrial relations.

Albert E. Rees was an American economist and noted author. An influential labor economist, Rees taught at Princeton University from 1966 to 1979, while also being an advisor to President Gerald Ford. He was also a former Provost of Princeton and former president of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. He was also the first head of the Council on Wage and Price Stability, a short-lived federal agency.

Emi Nakamura is a Canadian-American economist. She is the Chancellor's Professor of Economics at University of California, Berkeley.

Enrico Moretti is an Italian economist and the Michael Peevey and Donald Vial Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. He is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (Cambridge), and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (London) and the Institute for the Study of Labor (Bonn). Prior to joining the Berkeley faculty in 2004, he has taught at UCLA.

Anna Aizer is a labor and health economist, who currently serves as the Maurice R. Lisa Blau Kahn is a professor of economics at the University of Rochester. Her research focuses on labor economics with interests in organization, education, and contract theory. From 2014 to 2018, she served as an associate professor of economics at Yale School of Management and as an assistant professor of economics at Yale School of Management from 2008 to 2014. From 2010 to 2011, Kahn served as the senior economist for labor and education policy on President Obama's Council of Economic Advisers.

David S. Lee is Chemical Bank Chairman's Professor of Economics and Public Affairs at Princeton University, founding director of Princeton's Initiative for Data Exploration and Analytics for Higher Education, and a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. From 2013 to 2017, he was provost of Princeton, and from 2009 to 2013 he led Princeton's Industrial Relations Section. He co-edited The Review of Economics and Statistics from 2001 to 2013. He was a Sloan Research Fellow in 2006 and won the John T. Dunlop Outstanding Scholar Award of the Labor and Employment Relations Association in 2007.
