The Greece men's national water polo team represents Greece in international men's water polo competitions and it is organized and run by the Hellenic Swimming Federation.
Filip Filipović is a Serbian professional water polo player widely considered to be one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. He was a member of the Serbia men's national water polo teams that won bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and gold medals in 2016 and 2020. He also held the world title in 2009 and 2015 and the European title in 2003, 2006, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018. He was named Most Valuable Player at the 2011 World Championships. He was also voted as the male water polo "World Player of the Year" in 2009, 2011, 2014 and 2021 by the FINA magazine. He played for Pro Recco in Italy and won three LEN Champions League and three LEN Super Cup with them. Currently, he plays for Novi Beograd.
Dénes Andor Varga is a Hungarian professional water polo player, currently playing for Ferencváros.
Maro Joković is a Croatian water polo player. He is left-handed and plays in the right wing position. He competed at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics and won a gold medal in 2012 and a silver in 2016. He held the world title in 2007 and the European title in 2010.
Andro Bušlje is a Croatian water polo player who competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics. At the 2012 Summer Olympics he was part of the Croatian team that won the gold medal. He is right-handed and plays the center defender position. From 2016 to 2019 he played for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos, with whom he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League. He started playing water polo at the age of 12, and he made his national team debut in 2005. Bušlje is one of the top defenders in the world.
Felipe Perrone Rocha is a Spanish-Brazilian water polo player. He competed for Spain from 2003 until 2013, including in the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. Afterwards he competed for his birth country in the 2016 Summer Olympics, as Brazil earned its first qualifying spot in 32 years as hosts. He helped Spanish water polo club CN Atlètic-Barceloneta win the LEN Champions League in 2013–14 season. His brother Ricardo Perrone also competed for Spain in water polo.
Ioannis Fountoulis is a Greek professional water polo player. He is currently the captain of Greece men's national water polo team, with whom he won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships, a bronze medal at the 2016 World League, 2020 World League and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. He played for the Greek powerhouse Olympiacos since 2009, and in 2018 he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League with the Greek giants, scoring 4 goals in the final game against Pro Recco in Genoa. Is a very big scorer and leader is considered one of the top players in the world and it is typical how in 2016 and 2018 he was voted as the second top player in the world. Currently playing for the Greek club Olympiacos.
Konstantinos Mourikis is a Greek water polo player. He was part of the Greek team that won the bronze medal at the 2015 World Championship and the bronze medal at the 2016 World League and 2020 World League
Aaron Younger is an Australian professional water polo player.
Konstantinos Genidounias is a Greek water polo player. He was part of the Greek team that one the bronze medal at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships. Genidounias is considered one of the top scorers in the world. His top personal distinction is when he became the top scorer of the Champions League 2018–19 season as he scored 42 goals while in the same year he emerged ninth top player in the world.
Christodoulos Kolomvos is a water polo player of Greece. He was part of the Greek team winning the bronze medal at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships.
Angelos Vlachopoulos is a Greek water polo player. He won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships and competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He plays for Serbian club VK Novi Beograd.
Márton György Vámos is a Hungarian water polo player. He was part of the Hungarian team at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships.
Nikola Jakšić is a Serbian water polo player for VK Novi Beograd. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, he competed for the Serbia men's national water polo team in the men's event. He is 196 centimetres tall and is one of the top defenders in the world.
Stylianos "Stelios" Argyropoulos-Kanakakis is a Greek water polo player, who is a member of Greece men's national water polo team. He is part of Greece national team that competes at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest. He started his career in Ethnikos, a club with great tradition in water polo. He was named best rookie of the Greek championship in 2015 and 2016. He then played for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos, with whom he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League, 2 Greek Championships and 1 Greek Cup. He is currently a player of VK Jug.
Luka Lončar is a Croatian professional water polo player. He was part of the Croatian team at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where the team won the silver medal.

Greece competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Greek athletes have competed in every Summer Olympic Games of the modern era, alongside Australia, France, Great Britain, and Switzerland. As the progenitor nation of the Olympic Games and in keeping with tradition, Greece entered first at the New National Stadium during the parade of nations at the opening ceremony. Like the other closing ceremonies before, the Greek flag also raised during the closing ceremony alongside with Japanese and French flags.
