Alfred "Alf" Walter Duval (born 1 July 1941) is an Australian former rower who competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics and in the 1968 Summer Olympics.

Alfred "Alf" Walter Duval (born 1 July 1941) is an Australian former rower who competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics and in the 1968 Summer Olympics.
Duval was born in Sydney and attended St. Joseph's College, Hunters Hill, where he took up rowing. [1]
Following school he rowed at the senior level with the Sydney Rowing Club. For eight consecutive years from 1962 to 1969 he was seated in the New South Wales state eight which contested the Kings Cup at the Interstate Regatta within the Australian Rowing Championships. He stroked the crew in the last two of those years and in 1965 and 1967 his New South Wales crews were victorious. [2] At the 1966 Australian Rowing Championships in a composite SRC/SUBC crew Duval, John Ranch, Chris Stevens, Peter Dickson, and cox Brian Thomas won the Australian coxed four title. [3]
In 1964 he was in the bow seat of the Australian coxed four which finished tenth at the Tokyo Olympics. In 1966 he was selected at three in the Australian coxed four which competed at the 1966 World Rowing Championships in Bled, Yugoslavia. [4]
Four years later in 1968 he stroked the Australian boat to a silver medal in the men's eight competition at the Mexico Olympics. [5]
In later life he turned to coaching. He was the foundation coach of the Varsity College Rowing Program on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
Philip Arthur Cayzer OAM, was an Australian national champion rower who won medals in the 1952 Summer Olympics and the 1950 British Empire Games. He coached at state and national representative level taking Australian Olympic crews to success in the 1960s.
David G. A. Douglas is an Australian former rower. He was a five-time Australian national champion, won a gold medal at the inaugural North American rowing championships in 1967 and won a silver medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics.

Brian Richardson is an Australian former rower and rowing coach. He competed at the national elite level over a fifteen-year period representing both South Australian and Victoria. He was a representative at three world championships and at the 1976 Montreal and the 1980 Moscow Olympics. In a twenty-three year coaching career, he held national head coaching roles in both Canada and Australia from 1993 to 2008 and personally coached national crews to twelve world championship or Olympic medals.
Stuart Carter is an Australian former rowing coxswain. He was a ten-time national champion and a representative at world championships and Olympics. In 1976 still aged seventeen and in his final year of school, he coxed Sydney Rowing Club crews to three state titles in a pair, four and eight and to two national titles in a pair and a four; coxed the New South Wales representative eight to a King's Cup victory; and coxed the Australian men's eight at the 1976 Summer Olympics.
