Mohammedan

In 2010, Alfred moved to India and signed with Mohammedan Sporting and appeared in the I-League. [2]

Mumbai

Alfred scored a goal in 2–1 victory against Shillong Lajong in 2013–14 I-League. [3] He scored an equalizer against Dempo in 88th minute to earn a point for his team.

Aizawl

Alfred then signed for newly promoted Aizawl FC for the 2016 edition of the Hero I-League. [4] [5] [6] He scored in the third match against DSK Shivajians FC at home. [7] [8] Jaryan has all-time most appearances for Aizawl. [9] He also won Mizoram Premier League with club. [10]

International career

Following his impressive I-league campaign with Aizawl FC, Jaryan was called up to the national squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Zimbabwe on 11 June 2017. He did not appear in the 3–0 defeat. [12]

The 2015–16 Indian Federation Cup, also known as 2015–16 Hero Federation Cup due to sponsorship reasons was the 37th edition of the Federation Cup, the main national football cup competition in India. The tournament was held from 30 April 2016 to 21 May 2016. Top 8 teams from 2015–16 I-League participated in the tournament. Ten Sports Network, the Official Broadcaster of Hero Federation Cup 2016 will telecast only the Semi-finals and the Final match while Knockout stage matches will be streamed live on I-league website.

The 2016–17 I-League was the 10th season of the I-League, the top Indian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 7 January 2017 and concluded on 30 April 2017.

The 2016–17 season is the 33rd season in the history of Aizawl Football Club and their second in the I-League, India's top flight professional football league. The season began on 1 August 2016 and will conclude in May 2017. The club ended the I-League campaign as the champions after they were reinstated into the league after they were relegated the previous season. The club will also participate in the Federation Cup while they also made it to the semi-finals of the Mizoram Premier League and the Durand Cup.

Aizawl Football Club held its thirty-fourth season from 1 June 2017 to 31 May 2018, entering the 2017–18 I-League season as the defending champions finishing fifth. They reached the final of the Mizoram Premier League, losing to Chhinga Veng FC. The club started in the 2018 AFC Champions League but lost to Zob Ahan in the playoff round. This meant that they qualified for the 2018 AFC Cup where they finished bottom of the group. In the Super Cup, they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by East Bengal.

Northeast Derby is the name given to the football matches played among the northeastern I-League teams Shillong Lajong, Aizawl, TRAU and NEROCA. Shillong Lajong was first promoted in 2009–10 season, followed by Aizawl in 2015-16 season, NEROCA and TRAU in 2017-18 and 2019–20 respectively.
