Alfredo Hoyos is a Colombian plastic surgeon who practices liposuction and other body contouring techniques. [1] [2]

Hoyos works in aesthetic plastic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, and hand surgery. He is also a medical illustrator, painter, and sculptor. [3] Hoyos is a speaker for the Global Stem Cells Group. [4] [5]

Early life and education

He earned his medical degree from the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, where he also completed his undergraduate education. [4] He later pursued visiting fellowships in aesthetic surgery at New York University and additional training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital, as well as at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. [6]

Career

Hoyos is credited with inventing High Definition Liposculpture (HDL) also known as H4D LIPO, Lipo HD, and Dynamic Definition Lipoplasty (4D), as well as other body contouring techniques. [3] [7]
