The Algerian Women's Volleyball League is the highest professional women's volleyball league in Algeria. It is run by the Algerian Volleyball Federation. It is considered one of the top national leagues in African volleyball, as its clubs have made significant success in African competitions.

The Fédération Internationale de Volleyball, commonly known by the acronym FIVB, is the international governing body for all forms of volleyball. Its headquarters are located in Lausanne, Switzerland and its current president is Brazilian Ary Graça.

Algerian Football Federation

The Algerian Football Federation (AFF); is the governing body of football in Algeria. It was formed in 1962 and was based in the capital Algiers. It has jurisdiction on the Algerian football league system and is in charge of the men's and women's national teams. Although an unofficial national team had played fixtures since 1958, the first recognized international took place in January 1963, some six months after independence. In 2021, twenty structures were added to the Algerian Football Federation. These include, CR Belouizdad, MC Alger, ES Setif, USM Alger, CS Constantine, AS Ion Milila, MC Oran, WA Tlemcen, NC Magra, CH ACou NA Hussein-Dey, Olympique de Médéa, JS Kabylie, JSM Skikda, USM Bel-Abbès, US Biskra, and RC Relizane. The President of Financial Management Control Department Reda Abdu helped finance these teams. The 20 LG1 Club received their professional club licenses. Conflict occurred when the former USM president Abbas Morecell was not informed by the re-licensing of USM Alger and USM Bel-Abbès. The announcement of these new teams occurred at a ceremony. A common problem Algeria faces is the desire to play for France rather than Algeria. Algeria National Team suffered from the regulation of who can leave France. Algeria has to work with new players but has already qualified for AFCON 2021. AFCON stands for Africa Cup of Nations. Algeria has 17 players in French Ligue 1. The Algerian Football Federation is considered a member of FIFA.

Kenya womens national volleyball team

The Kenya women's national volleyball team, the Malkia Strikers, represents Kenya in international volleyball competitions. Kenya has dominated the African continent since the 1990s, winning the Women's African Volleyball Championship a record nine times. They have qualified three times for the Olympics; in 2000, 2004 and for the postponed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

GS Pétroliers (womens volleyball)

GS Pétroliers is a women's volleyball team in Algeria. They were allocated one of two wildcard spots for the 2014 edition of FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship held in Zurich, Switzerland after winning the African Championships.

The Women's U23 African Volleyball Championship is a national teams continental sport competition for players under 23 years, held biannually and organized by the African Volleyball Confederation since 2014.

The Algerian Volleyball Championship, now called the ABC National 1, formally known as the ABC Super Division, is the pre-eminent men's volleyball league in Algeria, National 1 is contested by 16 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the Second Division and replaced by the two winner of the playoffs. From the 1963 onwards, GS Pétroliers and WA Boufarik both dominated Also there is Darak El-Watani won 11 titles but it no longer exists, though National 1 also saw other champions, including OC Alger, ASM Oran, USM Alger, RAM Alger, MC Oran, NB Staouéli, AS PTT Alger and CSM Constantine.

The competition was first contested in 1991 in Brazil. It was not held between 1995 and 2009, but since 2010, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar, Switzerland, the Philippines, Japan, China and Turkey. The competition was held in Zhejiang Province of China in 2018 and 2019. After the 2020 championship was cancelled due to corona virus pandemic, the competition was held in Turkey in 2021.

Egypt at the 2020 Summer Paralympics Sporting event delegation

Egypt competed at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan from 25 August to 6 September. This was Egypt's thirteenth appearance at the Summer Paralympics.

Algeria at the 2019 African Games Sporting event delegation

Algeria competed at the 2019 African Games held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. On 17 August, judo events began two days before the opening ceremony on the first day, Algeria achieved 9 medals, including two gold medals by Wail Ezzine in weight 66 kg and Faïza Aissahine in weight 52 kg. On the second and last day were content with only two medals silver and bronze.
