Alice Maud Gowenlock was an English badminton player. Born in Lambeth in 1878 she was a prominent player before the First World War and a member of the Richmond BC. She won two All England titles. [1] and played for England just once against Ireland in 1911-12. She died in 1957 at the age of 80 in Worthing, Sussex. [2]

Marjorie Barrett born Lucy Marjory East was an English badminton player. She started playing badminton in the village of Shaldon in Devon where Meriel Lucas was a member. After becoming a member of the Crystal Palace Club she married Frederick Barrett in 1915. The left hander became a force after the war and secured five All England singles titles. Her husband died in 1932 and she remarried in 1949 to another badminton player Percy Macfarlane. She died in 1968, aged 79 in Newton Abbott

Dorothy Cundall English badminton player

Dorothy Ursula Cundall was an English badminton player. Born in 1883 in Richmond, London she was a prominent player before the First World War winning three All England titles. In 1912 she married Douglas Moore Henry who died in 1917. In 1922 she remarried an Irish badminton player called Bertram Bisgood. She died in Bournemouth on 8 February 1954.

Ernest Edward Shedden Hawthorn (1878–1951) was an English International badminton player.

Lavinia Clara Radeglia was an English badminton player. Born in Kensington in 1879 she first played badminton in 1903 at the Richmond Badminton Club. She became an England international in 1909 and won four All England titles. She was a one time editor of the Badminton Gazette and a well known Lawn Tennis player and became a professional tennis coach. She died in 1947 at Budleigh Salterton, aged 68.

Violet Elton was an English badminton player. She started playing badminton in India at the age of seven. After joining a club playing at the Territorial Drill Hall in Kensington she started to come to prominence. She won five All England titles. She was capped nine times by England between 1924 and 1930. Elton died on March 4, 1969 in Sidmouth.

Frank Hodge was an English badminton player. After serving with distinction during the First World War he returned to playing badminton in 1919. A left handed player he was capped 18 times by England between 1919 and 1933. He won three All England titles. In 1934 he married Miss M Drake another member of the Alexandra Palace Badminton Club. He died in 1957.

Tonny Holst-Christensen is a former Danish badminton player. In 1962 the Badminton Association of Denmark decided not to enter Tonny in the All England Championships and she had to pay for the trip to England out of her own pocket. She then teamed up with Judy Devlin and remarkably won the title. She also won the Danish National Championship in 1956 and 1960 and was a member of the 1960 Uber Cup team.
