Alif & Sofia is a Malaysian short animated series produced by Blindspot Studios and Primeworks Studios.[1] The series chronicles the adventures of the titular characters Alif & Sofia, learning life lessons as they go through childhood, while having lots of fun along the way.[2]
The series revolves around the titular characters and their friends and family.
Alif is a cheerful and adventurous 5-year-old boy. He is Sofia's younger brother. The boy is often heard saying the phrase "Alif tahu!", which roughly translates to "I know!" whenever he wants to answer a question. Alif's avid curiosity and imagination would at times complicate matters as he would have a slight trouble focusing on the task at hand.
Sofia is a kind and considerate 7-year-old girl. She is Alif's older sister. The girl is often heard saying the word "awesome!" whenever she feels great satisfaction regarding something. Sofia enjoys reading books, coloring and traveling.
Baby Ba is lamb which serves as a recurring character appearing randomly throughout the episodes. His similarity in nature to Alif make them wonderful play-mates. Baby Ba received his name from Alif.
Release
Alif & Sofia is the debut release of Blindspot Studios, an animation production company established by Lukman Nul Hakim Othman in 2013. The initial version of Alif & Sofia was uploaded to Youtube in 2016 and was received positively. On August 8, 2018, a mutual agreement was reached by Primeworks Studios (a production company under Media Prima Berhad) and Blindspot Studios to produce the animated series Alif & Sofia for a period of 2 years, through the official Youtube Channel. Alif & Sofia officially launched at Central iCity Mall, Selangor on May 2019.

Banana!
Banana! is a children's show slot on TV3, ntv7, TV9 and formerly on 8TV. In the past this slot was known as TV3 Kids, Kids@fgw and Adik Di 9. From 2020, the animated series Alif & Sofia is shown on TV3, through the slot Bananana. It has helped widen and increase the acceptance of the audience, especially the children.

On 27 January 2021, the Malaysian Ministry of Education through the Education Technology Division has added an Education TV show slot in the DidikTV@ntv7 program. The slot focuses on educational content to help SPM candidates in 2020 prepare before facing the exam that will begin on February 22, 2021. On February 17, 2021, the ntv7 channel was rebranded to DidikTV KPM, and will be broadcast daily at 7: am to 12: midnight. It promises high-quality and interactive educational plans in line with the times for all walks of life, especially students who sit for the UPSR, PT3, and SPM national exams. The animated series Alif & Sofia was also included in DidikTV's screening slot as a container for entertaining and educational entertainment for the audience.

Alif & Sofia's animated show on television stations has been postponed to make way for the show on the Disney+ Hotstar platform.

On May 4, 2021, The Walt Disney Company made an announcement for media coverage involving local and international media. Disney+ Hotstar will find viewers from June 1, 2021, which will include exciting shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and many more. Among the local studios involved are Skop Productions, Revolution Media Films, Primeworks Studios, WAU Animation, Act 2 Pictures, Les' Copaque Production, Red Films and Blindspot Studios. The animated series Alif & Sofia will start airing from 9 July 2021. Fans and viewers can watch the animated Alif & Sofia by subscribing to the Disney+ Hotstar streaming service based on the package offered.

It received a warm welcome from the visitors of Big Bad Wolf (BBW) Jakarta 2019, with 20,0 units of the book sold within 3 days. This book is marketed again at Big Bad Wolf (BBW) Jakarta 2020 which takes place at the Convention Exhibition (ICE) in Tangerang, Jakarta in conjunction with the Indonesian version of Alif & Sofia Launch Ceremony. Alif & Sofia mascots were also present at this launch event to enliven the launch program and children's coloring activities. [3][4]

Joint Venture Project
Alif & Sofia have established a partnership with the brand Tudung Si Comel, a children's school hijab company that produces high quality hijabs. This joint venture has resulted in the Tudung Sekolah Awning Scuba product with the Alif & Sofia label. Parents and buyers can get these caps through appointed sales agents. On December 26, 2020, a session interviews and promotions was conducted in the Borak Kopitiam TV3 slot.

Participants of the Small Hajj Simulation 2019 take a picture with mascots Alif & Sofia
Small Hajj Simulation 2019
Alif & Sofia were involved in the 2019 Small Hajj Simulation program which was held on 1 August 2019 at the Sultan Salahudin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque. This program is organized by the Malaysian Islamic Kindergarten Association (PERTIM), with the involvement of 3,0 students who attend from kindergartens under the umbrella of the Malaysian Islamic Kindergarten Association (PERTIM). Alif & Sofia mascots are present to enliven the Hajj simulation ceremony for these children.
2019 National Day Celebration
Alif & Sofia had the opportunity to be involved in the Malaysia National Day 2019 Celebration Parade on 31 August 2019 at Dataran Putrajaya. The animation contingent led by the National Film Development Corporation (FINAS) was also joined by various other local animation representatives. Extensive media coverage helped the Alif & Sofia brand to become more recognizable to Malaysians.
Selangor Small Graduation Ceremony 2019
Alif & Sofia mascots made a special appearance at the Selangor Small Graduation Ceremony which took place on 19 November 2019 at Dewan Jubli Perak, Baunder Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah. The mascot characters Alif & Sofia are present to celebrate the graduation of children who have completed their preschool education.
World Autism Awareness Day, April 2
World Autism Awareness Day is an initiative at the international level and is celebrated on April 2 every year. The United Nations (UN) encourages each of its member countries to participate in raising public awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder. Alif & Sofia's animation production also participated in the autism exposure campaign, in collaboration with GENIUS Kurnia. GENIUS Kurnia is an early intervention center for families and children with autism. It introduces the character of an autistic child named Sufi, who is also Alif's friend.

Ejen Ali, is a Malaysian animated series produced by WAU Animation, focusing on a titular boy which accidentally became an agent after using Infinity Retinal Intelligent System (I.R.I.S), a device prototype created by the Meta Advance Tactical Agency (M.A.T.A). I.R.I.S is controlled by neuro-signals enabling the wearer to perform actions programmed by the computer. After the incident, Ali and his uncle, Bakar, cooperate in M.A.T.A missions.

Baymax! is an American superhero science fiction comedy streaming television series of short films created by Don Hall that premiered on Disney+ on June 29, 2022, featuring the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The series is a spinoff of the animated feature film Big Hero 6 (2014), and the second television series set in the film's continuity following Big Hero 6: The Series (2017–2021). The series is the first television series produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios.
