Arua District is a district in the Northern Region of Uganda. Like many other Ugandan districts, it shares its name with its administrative center of Arua.

Arua Regional Referral Hospital, commonly known as Arua Hospital is a hospital in the town of Arua, in Northern Uganda. It is the referral hospital for the districts of Adjumani, Arua, Koboko, Maracha, Moyo, Nebbi, Yumbe, and Zombo. The hospital also receives referrals from neighboring parts of South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Alex Aadroa Onzima is a Ugandan politician. He is the State Minister in the Office of the Vice President in the Ugandan cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. Prior to that from 27 May 2011 until 6 June 2016, he served as the State Minister for Local Government. He replaced Perez Ahabwe. Onzima also served as the elected member of parliament, representing Maracha County, Maracha District in the 9th Parliament.

Tara is a subcounty at the north-eastern end of Maracha District of Uganda. Agofe is the noble title for the chief cultural leader or king among all the Lugbara people. The term means 'Pillar' but a king is also called opi in Lugbara. An opi is usually the clan leader of a lineage. In 2012, the Government of Uganda finally recognised this revised institution. The Agofe's duty will be to preserve Lugbara culture through writings and other assignments.
West Nile Cup is the annual football tournament contested by the political districts in the West Nile sub-region of Uganda. The tournament was started in 2012 by Lawrence Mulindwa, a year before he ceased to be the president of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations, Uganda's football-governing body. The first edition was hosted by Arua and it was organised to bring West Nile together. The other mission is to identify talent for inter-region tournaments like Airtel Under 17, which can also be a backup wellspring for the Uganda Cranes, the nickname for the national team.
Vurra–Arua–Koboko–Oraba Road is a road in the Northern Region of Uganda, connecting the towns of Vurra at the International border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo with the towns of Arua, Koboko, and Oraba at the International border with the Republic of South Sudan.
