The Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actress, commonly known as the Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actress, is an award presented annually at the Australian TV Week Logie Awards. It was first awarded at the 30th Annual TV Week Logie Awards in 1988 and is given to recognise the outstanding performance of an actress in an Australian program. The winner and nominees of this award are chosen by television industry juries. Deborah Mailman holds the record for the most wins, with four, followed by Claudia Karvan with three and Ruth Cracknell, Alison Whyte and Sigrid Thornton with two wins each.
The second season of the crime drama television series "Wentworth" premiered on May 20, 2014, on the Australian network SoHo. The season consisted of 12 episodes and was executive produced by Fremantle Media's drama director, Jo Porter. The storyline continued three months after Bea Smith's actions in the previous season, including the murder of Jacs Holt and the rise of Franky Doyle as the top dog among the inmates. The introduction of a new governor, Joan Ferguson, brought further complexity to the season's events. The season gained several nominations and awards.
Anna Bamford is an Australian television and theatre actress. She won the role of Miranda Beaumont in Wonderland shortly after graduating from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2012. For her performance, Bamford earned a nomination for the Logie Award for Most Outstanding Newcomer. After Wonderland was cancelled in 2015, Bamford made her major theatre debut in a production of Freak Winds. Later that year, she began appearing in Andrew Upton's production of The Present, which later transferred to Broadway. In 2016, Bamford joined the cast of Home and Away in the recurring role of Jeannie Woods.
