All India Federation of Women Lawyers is an association of Indian women lawyers. [1] The federation was established in 2007. [2] It is a registered association under the Society's Registration Act. The federation is affiliated with International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA).
Mrs. Sheela Anish was the Founder President of the federation and now she is the Director of International Federation of Women Lawyers. [4] Other past presidents have included VP Seemandini, M Bhaskaralakshmi, K Santhakumari, Ami Yagnik and Indrayani Patani. [5] The current president is Hemalata Mahishi a practising lawyer. Many past presidents and other office bearers have been Presidents of their respective state-based Federations of Women Lawyers.
Past conferences of the Federation included the Asia Woman Lawyers Conference in Bangalore, September 2007; and the AIFWL National Conferences in Kochi (December 2009), Hyderabad (January 2011), Chennai (January 2012), Mumbai (December 2013), Bangalore (November 2014), and Ahmedabad (September 2017). The federation organised the Asia Woman Lawyers Conference in Bangalore in September 2007, [7] in which Chief Justice of India K. G. Balakrishnan and Chief Justice of Karnataka Cyriac Joseph were present. [8] The Federation, jointly with National Legal Service Authority, organised one seminar on Girl Child on 16 March 2008 and it was a captured on the cover page of the media and the seminar was noticed by the public. The members of AIFWL represented in the International Woman Lawyer's Conference held in Italy in the year 2008. At the National Conference held in Kochi in 2009, V.P.Seemandini was the then president of the federation. The conference was held in Le Meridien International Convention Center. President of India Pratibha Devisingh Patil was the Chief Guest in that conference. [9] [10] In 2012, when the National Conference was held in Chennai, Advocate K.Santhakumari was the President of the Federation. [11]
Kalakshetra Foundation, formerly simply Kalakshetra, is an arts and cultural academy dedicated to the preservation of traditional values in Indian art and crafts, especially in the field of Bharatanatyam dance and Gandharvaveda music. Based in Chennai, India, the academy was founded in January 1936 by Rukmini Devi Arundale and her husband George Arundale. Under Arundale's guidance, the institution achieved national and international recognition for its unique style and perfectionism. Devaragunda Venkappa Sadananda Gowda is an Indian politician who served as the Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers of India in the Second Modi ministry from 14 November 2018 to 7 July 2021. He also served as the Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation of India from 5 July 2016 to 24 May 2019 in the First Modi ministry. He is represented the Bangalore North constituency in the parliament from 2014 to 2024. He also held Ministry of Railways and other cabinet positions in the First Modi ministry. He also served as the 14th Chief Minister of Karnataka.
Santhi Soundarajan is a track and field athlete from Tamil Nadu, India. She is the winner of 12 international medals for India and around 50 medals for her home state of Tamil Nadu. Shanthi Soundarajan is the first Tamil woman to win a medal at the Asian Games. She competes in middle distance track events. She was stripped of a silver medal won at the 2006 Asian Games after failing a sex verification test which disputed her eligibility to participate in the women's competition.

Free Software Movement of India (FSMI) is a national coalition of various regional and sectoral free software movements operating in different parts of India. The formation of FSMI was announced in the valedictory function of the National Free Software Conference - 2010 held in Bangalore during 20–21 March 2010. She is a consultant on international law offering her expertise to academic departments that feature international relations programs. She was a founder member of the Centre for Security Analysis, Chennai. She is currently the President of InternationalLaw and Strategic Analysis Institute (ILSAI) in Chennai. Madhavan lives in Chennai.

V. P. Sanu is an Indian politician who is currently the National President of the Students' Federation of India, the students' wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He is also a member of the Kerala state committee of the CPI(M). He contested the parliamentary election in 2019 polls and 2021 by-polls representing CPI(M) in Malappuram, Kerala against IUML and lost both times.
Bangalore Venkataramiah Nagarathna is a judge of the Supreme Court of India. She served as a judge of the Karnataka High Court from 2008 to 2021. Her father, E. S. Venkataramiah, was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India in 1989.
