All Years Leaving is the debut album by English band the Stands, released in 2004. [4] The album was produced by frontman Howie Payne and reached 28 on the UK Albums Chart. Four singles were released from the album, one reaching the UK top 30 and two reaching the top 40.

Critical reception

The Guardian praised the album's "spiralling pyschedelia and timeless melodies." [3] The Press wrote that the band "have that Liverpool knack of making melodies instantly familiar yet somehow not too familiar, while the band sounds as if they have been playing together, easy, gentle and harmonious, since birth." [1]

David Justin Hayward is an English musician best known as songwriter, lead singer and guitarist of the rock band the Moody Blues. Hayward became the group's principal lead guitarist and vocalist over the 1967–1974 period, and the most prolific songwriter and composer of several international hit singles for the band.

The Stands were an English alternative rock band, formed in 2002 in Liverpool. The band was composed of singer-songwriter Howie Payne, guitarist Luke Thomson, bassist Dean Ravera and drummer Steve Pilgrim.

Buck Rogers (song) 2001 single by Feeder

"Buck Rogers" is a song by Welsh rock band Feeder. It was the first single to be taken from their third studio album, Echo Park (2001), and was released on The Echo Label. The track reached number five on the UK Singles Chart after its release on 8 January 2001. The group had originally not intended the track to be one of theirs, as frontman and main songwriter of the band Grant Nicholas originally wrote "Buck Rogers" for SR-71, only for producer Gil Norton and A&R staff of Echo to convince the band they could have a hit with it themselves, after hearing a demo recorded by Feeder. It continues to be played on UK alternative radio stations as a classic hit of its genre during the early 2000s.

Charlie was a British rock band that was formed in 1971 by the singer/songwriter Terry Thomas. The group was most active as a recording unit from the mid-1970s to 1986. Charlie never charted in the UK but had four minor hits in the US: "Turning To You" (1977) "She Loves to Be In Love" (1978), "Killer Cut" (1979) and "It's Inevitable" (1983).

Engineers (band)

Engineers are a British shoegazing/dream pop band. The band was formed in London in 2003 by bassist/guitarist/keyboardist Mark Peters, singer/guitarist Simon Phipps, bassist/guitarist Dan MacBean (previously known as guitarist of The Shining, and drummer Andrew Sweeney. After the release of their second album Three Fact Fader in 2009, MacBean and Sweeney left the band, and were replaced by bassist/vocalist Daniel Land, drummer Matthew Linley, and keyboardist Ulrich Schnauss. Phipps and Land would later leave the band before the release of 2014's Always Returning. Engineers' sound has been described as "hazy, ethereal and atmospheric" and the band often cites the works of The Beach Boys, Brian Eno, Cocteau Twins, Spiritualized and Pink Floyd as influences.

Horse Fabulous is the second and final album by English band The Stands, released in 2005. The album was produced by Tom Rothrock and reached 62 in the UK album charts. "Do It Like You Like" was the first single released from the album, reaching number 28 in the UK singles chart and featuring in Rimmel's London Look advertising campaign featuring Kate Moss. Echo Records, fell into financial difficulty resulting in the second single from the album "When The Night Falls In" being cancelled at the last minute.
