Amanda Ngandu-Ntumba (born 24 June 2000) is a French discus thrower and shot putter, who has won multiple national championships. She came third in the discus throw events at the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships and the 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships. She also won multiple medals in under-23 events at the 2021 European Throwing Cup.
Ngandu-Ntumba started her athletics career at Coquelicot 42 . She now trains at the Roannais Athletic Club (CAR). [1] At the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships, Ngandu-Ntumba finished third in the discus throw, and qualified for the final of the shot put. [2]
At the 2020 French Athletics Championships, Ngandu-Ntumba won the senior shot put event and the junior discus throw event. She was third in the senior discus throw event. [3] At the 2021 European Throwing Cup, Ngandu-Ntumba came second in the under-23s discus event, [4] and third in the under-23s shot put competition. [5] She finished third in the discus throw event at the 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships; [6] at the time, she was the third ranked French discus thrower, with a personal best of 56 metres (184 ft) with a 1 kilogram (2.2 lb) discus. In 2022, Ngandu-Ntumba both won the French indoor [8] and outdoor national shot put titles again, [9] and that year, she competed at the 2022 European Athletics Championships. [1] She won the French indoor discus throw competition at the 2023 French Indoor Athletics Championships. [10]
Ngandu-Ntumba was born in Juvisy-sur-Orge, France, and grew up in Saint-Étienne. [11] As a youngster, she participated in swimming and basketball. [11] Aside from athletics, she has studied for an international business degree. [1]
The decathlon is a combined event in athletics consisting of ten track and field events. The word "decathlon" was formed, in analogy to the word "pentathlon", from Greek δέκα and ἄθλος. Events are held over two consecutive days and the winners are determined by the combined performance in all. Performance is judged on a points system in each event, not by the position achieved. The decathlon is contested mainly by male athletes, while female athletes typically compete in the heptathlon.

Mélina Robert-Michon is a French discus thrower. She was the silver medalist at the 2013 World Championships and 2016 Summer Olympics and the national record holder. She earned the bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships.

The 2010 European Cup Winter Throwing was held on 20 and 21 March 2010 at the Stade Fernand Fournier in Arles, France. It was the tenth edition of the athletics competition for throwing events and it was organised by the European Athletics Association and the Fédération française d'athlétisme.
Floria Gueï is a French sprint athlete of Ivorian origin specialising in the 400 metres. A 2016 European Championships silver medallist and a 2017 European Indoor Championships gold medallist, she also won as a member of women's 4x400 m relays a bronze at the 2013 World Championships and medals at several other international competitions.
Katherine Proudfoot is a cerebral palsy athlete from Australia competing mainly in throwing events. She competed in the F36 classification at the 2008, 2012 and the 2016 Summer Paralympics, winning medals at each Game. Following a medical review request in early 2017, she now competes in seated throws in the F32 classification. At the 2017 Australian Athletics Championships she threw 7.04m in the Women's Shot Put Secured event, bettering the Women's F32 shot put world record mark of 6.55m.
Amanda Fraser is an Australian Paralympic athlete and swimmer. She has cerebral palsy and competes in the F37 category for the physically impaired. Competing in the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Summer Paralympics, she won two silver and two bronze medals, and in the 2006 World Championships, she won a gold and a silver medal. In the 2006 championships, she set a world record for discus in her classification, and was named 2006 Telstra Female AWD Athlete of the Year by Athletics Australia. Fraser now works as a personal trainer, working with people unfamiliar to a gym environment, especially women. She believes it is important for women to feel empowered and she aims to help them develop their mental and physical strength.
Kevin Mayer is a French athlete specialising in decathlon and indoor heptathlon. He is two-time world champion, two-time Olympic silver medalist and the world record holder in the decathlon since 2018. He is also a world and three-time European champion in heptathlon.
Aled Siôn Davies is a Welsh Paralympian athlete competing mainly in category F42 throwing events. In 2012 he became the world record holder of the F42 shot put and in the 2012 Summer Paralympics he took the bronze medal in shot put and gold in the discus. In 2013 Davies took the World Championship gold in both the shot put and discus in Lyon. He won double gold in his home country at the 2014 IPC Athletics European Championships in the shot put and discus. Pauline Pousse is a French athlete specialising in the discus throw. She won the bronze medal at the 2013 Jeux de la Francophonie.
Hélène Defrance is a French former sailor, who won a bronze medal in the women's 470 event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She also won the 2010 470 European Championships race, and the 2016 470 World Championships. Defrance is a knight of the Ordre national du Mérite.

She has won multiple Welsh Athletics Championships events, and won the shot put event at the 2022 British Athletics Championships. She came second in the 2021–22 Bobsleigh World Cup event in Sigulda, Latvia alongside Mica McNeill. Nicoll was a reserve for the 2022 Winter Olympics, and competed at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
