Amara Bo (born 24 December 1999) is a model and beauty queen from Myanmar. She won the title of Miss Universe Myanmar 2023 [1] [2] [3] [4] and represented Myanmar at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant held in San Salvador, El Salvador. [5] [6]

Early life and education

Amara Bo was born in Mandalay. She has a bachelor's degree in computer science. She studied at the University of Computer Studies, Mandalay. [7]

In 2019, Amara Bo participated in the Myanmar modeling competition The Model Academy season 3 and entered the Top 5.

Pageantry

Miss World Myanmar 2019

Amara Bo began her beauty pageant career in 2019, when she participated in the Miss World Myanmar 2019 pageant at the Myanmar Convention Centre in Yangon, where she placed 1st runner-up and lost to eventual winner Khit Lin Latt Yoon.

Miss Universe Myanmar 2022

On 1 October 2022, Amara Bo represented Mandalay at Miss Universe Myanmar 2022 and competed against 14 other finalists at the Grand Ballroom of Novotel Hotel in Yangon, where she placed in the Top 10 and Zar Li Moe is the new Miss Universe Myanmar 2022. [8] [9]

Miss Universe Myanmar 2023

On September 14, 2023, Bo represented Keng Tung at Miss Universe Myanmar 2023 [10] and competed against 31 other candidates at the Novotel Max Yangon Hotel in Yangon, where he won the title and was succeeded by Zar Li Moe. [11] [12]

On November 18, 2023, she will represent Myanmar at Miss Universe 2023 in San Salvador, El Salvador. [13] [14] [15]

Miss Grand Myanmar 2024 was the 2nd edition of the Miss Grand Myanmar pageant, held at the Hexagon Complex, Shwe Htut Tin Compound in Yangon on December 10, 2023. Fifty-six contestants who have qualified for the national pageant through either the regional preliminary stages or the casting process competed for the title, of whom the representative of Taungoo, Thae Su Nyein, was announced the winner and obtained the right to represent Myanmar in the Miss Grand International 2024 pageant, to be held on October 25, 2023, in Yangon.

Miss Grand Myanmar 2016 was the first edition of the Miss Grand Myanmar beauty pageant, held at the City Hall of Pyin Oo Lwin, on August 8, 2016, by Yangon-based event organizer Style Plus H. Twenty-four candidates competed for the title, of whom a Yangon-based model, Nandar Lwin, was announced the winner. She was crowned by San Htate Htar Linn, Miss Grand Myanmar 2015 and later represented the country at the international competition, Miss Grand International 2016, held at the Westgate International Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on 25 October, but got non-placement.
