Led by the first single and #1 hit "Sin Ti No Soy Nada", Estrella de Mar became the duo's breakthrough album, selling more than 1 million copies in Spain alone. "Te necesito", "Moriría por vos", "Salir corriendo" and "Toda la noche en la calle" were also very successful singles in Spain, all four reaching number one. The album received a nomination for a Latin Grammy Award for Best Pop Album by a Duo or Group with Vocals. An English version of Estrella de Mar was released in the United Kingdom in July 2006, exclusively on iTunes.
Dicen Que Soy is the third studio album by Puerto Rican recording artist La India released on September 20, 1994, by RMM Records. The album was produced by American musician Sergio George, who chose the songs for India to record with an emphasis on feminism to suit with her voice. The production mixes salsa music with other rhythms such as funk and timba. Five singles were released from the record with "Nunca Voy a Olvidarte" and "Ese Hombre" topping the Billboard Tropical Songs chart.

"Yo Soy Boricua, Pa' Que Tu Lo sepas!" is a song composed in 1995 by Joel Bosch or (Bosh) a.k.a. Taino. The song was born out of a moment of frustration and pride, as Taino overheard an engineer insulting Puerto Ricans in English during a recording session. In response, Taino wrote the chorus "Yo soy Boricua, Pa' Que Tu Lo Sepas" on a piece of paper and quickly turned it into a full song, hoping to assert his identity and defend his culture. Since then, "Yo soy Boricua, Pa' Que Tu Lo Sepas" has become a beloved anthem for Puerto Ricans worldwide, representing a statement of social and cultural identity and pride.

Todo Lo Que Soy-En Vivo is a live album by Fey, a Mexican pop singer. The album was recorded in Mexico City's National Auditorium after the success of her Fey: Primera Fila album. Fey toured this show in various venues in Mexico, with many sold out dates and dates were added due to popular demand. Before going in for an encore performance at the National Auditorium in April 2014, Fey had confirmed that would be the concert date she would record the show in a CD & DVD format. The album was originally slated for a summer 2014 release, but was delayed due to Fey wanting to be involved in the details of the editing process. On December 11, 2014, Fey confirmed via Twitter that the CD & DVD format would be released on December 17, 2014 and the digital version would go worldwide on December 24, 2014 along with the cover art.

The songs were recorded in the duo's Madrid studio by Eva Amaral and Juan Aguirre, with the participation of Toni Toledo and Chris Taylor. The production was undertaken by Juan de Dios Martín, Eva Amaral and Juan Aguirre. Antonio Escobar was the synthesizer programmer. The album was mixed and mastered in New York by Michael Brauer in Electric Lady and Greg Calbi in Sterling Sound. It was the first album published under the new label created by the duo, Antártida, which was named after the song that the band were currently working on when they realised that they had not yet given their new label a name. Acoustic versions of all the songs were also recorded and released as bonus material

Mujer contra mujer is the second and final studio album by the pop duo formed by Argentine singers Sandra Mihanovich and Celeste Carballo, released by RCA Records and Sony BMG in October 1990. Mihanovich and Carballo had already developed successful solo careers before joining as a duo. After collaborating on a successful show in the summer of 1987, they decided to record together and released their first studio album as a duo, Somos mucho más que dos, in 1988. Around this time, Mihanovich and Carballo became romantically involved, although not publicly. Their songs included subtle references to lesbian love, and the nature of their relationship caused much speculation in the media. Before forming the duo, Mihanovich already had two popular gay anthems in her repertoire: her 1981 breakthrough single "Puerto Pollensa", and "Soy lo que soy", her 1984 Spanish-language cover of "I Am What I Am".
