Gainesville Regional Airport is a public airport three miles northeast of Gainesville, in Alachua County, Florida, United States. It is owned by Gainesville-Alachua Co. Auth. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a primary commercial service airport.
Mikheil Saakashvili is a Georgian and Ukrainian politician and jurist. He was the third president of Georgia for two consecutive terms from 25 January 2004 to 17 November 2013. From May 2015 until November 2016, Saakashvili was the governor of Ukraine's Odesa Oblast. He is the founder and former chairman of the United National Movement party. Saakashvili heads the executive committee of Ukraine's National Reform Council since 7 May 2020. In 2021 he began serving a six-year prison sentence in Georgia on charges of abuse of power and organization of an assault occasioning grievous bodily harm against an opposition lawmaker Valery Gelashvili.
The Adjara crisis, also known as the Adjarian revolution or the Second Rose Revolution, was a political crisis in Georgia's Adjaran Autonomous Republic, then led by Aslan Abashidze, who refused to obey the central authorities after President Eduard Shevardnadze's ouster during the Rose Revolution of November 2003. The crisis threatened to develop into military confrontation as both sides mobilized their forces at the internal border. However, Georgia's post-revolutionary government of President Mikheil Saakashvili managed to avoid bloodshed and with the help of Adjaran opposition reasserted its supremacy. Abashidze left the region in exile in May 2004 and was succeeded by Levan Varshalomidze.
Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport, formerly Novo Alexeyevka International Airport, is the busiest international airport in Georgia, located 17 km (11 mi) southeast of capital Tbilisi. The airport handled 3.7 million passengers in 2019. Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, the airspace of Georgia was closed for most of 2020 causing the number of travelers through Tbilisi airport to drop by 84% to less than 600,000.
Lechkhumi is a historic province in northwestern Georgia which comprises the area along the middle basin of the Rioni and Tskhenistskali and also the Lajanuri river valley. Now part of the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region, it corresponds roughly to the present day Tsageri district as well as parts of districts of Tsq'altubo and Ambrolauri. It is bordered by Mingrelia to the west, Svaneti to the north, Racha to the east, and Imereti to the south.
Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti is a region (mkhare) in northwestern Georgia with a population of 28,500 (2021), making it the most sparsely populated region in the country. It has a nominal area of 4,954 km2 (1,913 sq mi), of which 4,600 km2 (1,800 sq mi) is de facto controlled by Georgia. The remainder is effectively under South Ossetian control. The region has Ambrolauri as its administrative center and Parmen Margvelidze is governor of the region since June 2021. Ambrolauri is a city in Georgia, located in the northwestern part of the country, on both banks of the Rioni river, at an elevation of 550 m above sea level. The city serves as the seat of the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti regional administration and of the Ambrolauri Municipality and had a population of 2,015 in 2021. Its area is 2.8 km2. Ambrolauri was first recorded in the 17th century as a place where one of the palaces of the kings of Imereti was located. It acquired the city status in 1966.

The airport is named after Alexander Kartveli, an aeronautical engineer and aviation pioneer.
Kutaisi International Airport also known as David the Builder Kutaisi International Airport is an airport located 14 km (8.7 mi) west of Kutaisi, the third largest city in the country of Georgia and capital of the western region of Imereti. It is one of three international airports currently in operation in Georgia, along with Tbilisi International Airport serving the Georgian capital and Batumi International Airport near the Adjara Black Sea resort. The airport is operated by United Airports of Georgia, a state-owned company.

Abanoeti, formerly also known as Mikartsminda (მიქარწმინდა), is a village in Georgia’s northern Ambrolauri Municipality with a population 102 (2014). It is located about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) west of the municipal center Ambrolauri, at an elevation of 820 metres (2,690 ft) above sea level on a hill overlooking the Rioni River. It is part of the Bugeuli administrative community that includes 5 more nearby villages.
The Ambrolauri Municipality is a self-governing subdivision in western Georgia. Its governing bodies are based in the city of Ambrolauri. Together with the neighboring municipalities Lentekhi, Oni, and Tsageri, the Ambrolauri Municipality forms the region of Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti. The municipality has an area of is 1142 km2, and population of 10,405 (2021).
Queen Tamar Airport, or Mestia Airport, is a small domestic airport serving Mestia, a town in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Georgia. Since its reopening in 2010 it is named after the medieval "queen king" regnant Tamar of Georgia, who is a popular symbol in Georgian popular culture. The airport is owned and operated by United Airports of Georgia, a state-owned company. The airport is located at 1,456 m (4,777 ft) above sea level in the valley near Mestia, wedged between the mountains of the Greater Caucasus.
Natakhtari Airfield is a domestic airport located in Natakhtari, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Georgia. It serves as a secondary and domestic-only airfield for the Tbilisi metropolitan area at roughly 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of the city. It is privately owned and operated by the parent company of Vanilla Sky Airlines, Service Air. The airfield operates a bus link with Tbilisi in connection with scheduled flights.

The airline is part of "Service Air" Company, a subsidiary of Vanilla Sky International Tour Operator. Flights are subsidized by the state to increase mobility and tourism in Georgia with US$5.3 million as the reported amount that the airline was offered by the Georgian Airport Union.
Kharistvala is a so called daba in Georgia’s northern Ambrolauri Municipality, at an elevation of 1,150 metres (3,770 ft) above sea level on the western shore of Shaori Reservoir. It is located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south of the municipal center Ambrolauri, and 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) north of the 1,217 metres (3,993 ft) high Nakerala Pass. Remarkably, the settlement has no permanent population (2021), while still registered as a daba. Kharistvala is administratively part of the Nikortsminda community which also consists of villages Kachaeti and Nikortsminda, known for the Nikortsminda Cathedral. It acquired the daba status in 1956.
