Transportation in Vietnam is improving rapidly in terms of both quantity and quality. The International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) is an International School in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The school is Vietnamese owned and but operated Cognita Asia located in Singapore. As the Vietnam Government, this school only recognizes the law of Communist Vietnam. Family Court Judgements from other countries will not be honored as Vietnam is not a signee of the 1980 Hague Convention Treaty. This creates the threat that children with divorced parents will not receive the same rights to information regarding their children. In addition, the non-paying parent may not be allowed to enter ISHCMC's campuses to see their children in any manner.

Despite the city being named Ho Chi Minh City after the Vietnam War, the name of the station has remained the same.
Tân Định church is a Roman Catholic church in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Its formal name is the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Even though it is in District 3, the parish shares its name with neighbouring District 1's Tân Định Ward.
Ho Chi Minh University of Banking is a university in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The university provides graduate and postgraduate level education in finance, banking and business administration. There are five faculties: Finance, International Financial Market, International Finance and Banking, Financial Institutions Management, and Foreign Languages. There are 168 lecturers and professors, of which 30 are doctors, 50 are masters. The university campuses are at 36 Ton That Dam street, District 1 and at 56 Hoang Dieu 2 street, Thủ Đức, Ho Chi Minh City.
The British International SchoolHo Chi Minh City (BIS HCMC) is an international school in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, which provides a British style education. The school has three campuses: a primary campus, a secondary campus, and an early years & infant campus in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). The campuses are located in the residential area of District 2 (Thao Dien). The British International School Ho Chi Minh City was founded in 1997 as Tiny Tots, a Kindergarten. Beginning with two classes, two overseas teachers and 40 toddlers, it has since grown to become a private day school with around 1,800 students from 52 countries. The Early Years & Infant Campus caters for students from the Foundation Stage (Pre-school) through to Year 2, the Junior Campus (Primary School) caters for children in Year 3 through to Year 6 and the Secondary campus caters for students from Years 7–13. Saigon South International School (SSIS) is an international school in Ho Chi Minh City offering a degree program based on US standards for the EC-12 years. It offers both the IB diploma program and AP coursework and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school is also a member of East Asian Council of Overseas Schools, National Association of Independent Schools, the Southeast Asia Student Activities Conference (SEASAC), and Mekong River International Schools Association (MRISA). SSIS was recently designated an Apple Distinguished School.
The APU International School (APUIS) has been in operation since 2004. APUIS is licensed by the Ministry of Education and Training to provide American education to K-12 students in Vietnam using the California curriculum. Currently, the school has two campuses and boarding facilities, one located in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and one in Da Nang City, Vietnam.
The Saigon Heat is a Vietnamese professional basketball team based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Since the 2014 season, the Heat's home games are played at the CIS Arena on the campus of the Canadian International School in District 7. This is the first professional basketball team based in Vietnam.

Bùi Thành Nhơn is a Vietnamese businessman, billionaire and property developer. In 2016, he was listed as the 4th richest man in Vietnam, after Phạm Nhật Vượng, Trịnh Văn Quyết and Trần Đình Long.
