Amobi Godwin Ogah is a Nigerian politician and businessman. He was elected to the 10th National Assembly in the February 25, 2023 House of Representatives election to represent Isiuakwato/Umunneochi federal constituency of Abia state on the ticket of Labour Party, LP. [1] [2]

Political career

His elder brother Uche Ogah was a Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development in the APC led federal government. Ogah ran for the House of Reps seat in 2019 on the ticket of People's Democratic Party, PDP [3] but lost to long term holder of the seat, Nkeiruka Onyejiocha who had a year earlier left the PDP and Joined APC. In the 2023 House of Representatives election, Ogah ran on the ticket of LP and polled 11,769 votes to defeat Onyejiocha of the APC who scored 8,725 votes. Ogah's win over Onyejiocha the incumbent who was elected to the seat for the 6th   to 9th Assembly (2007 to 2023) was one of the major political upsets attributed to the ‘effect of Peter Obi’ the LP presidential candidate. Incumbent APC Governor Abdullahi Sule is eligible to run for re-election and has been renominated by his party.

Mathew Donatus is a Nigerian politician and House of Representatives member elect for Kaura Federal Constituency of Kaduna State. His surprise victory at the poll was a major upset to the ruling party APC and the major opposition party PDP in the state. He is widely known as an Okada rider who defeated incumbent House of Representatives member.

David Ogewu is a Nigerian politician and Federal House of Representatives member-elect for Oju/Obi Federal Constituency on the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He defeated the incumbent Reps member Samson Okwu of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the 25 February 2023 presidential and National Assembly elections.

Samson Okwu is a Nigerian politician and member of the Federal House of Representatives for Oju/Obi Federal Constituency in the 7th to 9th National Assembly. A member of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, he failed re-election to the house in the 2023 elections after being defeated by his long-standing opponent, David Ogewu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Obi Aguocha is a Nigerian politician and member of the 10th National Assembly from Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency of Abia State on the ticket of the Labour Party, LP.

Attah Thaddeus is a Nigerian politician and member-elect for the 10th National Assembly from Eti-Osa Federal Constituency of Lagos State on the ticket of Labour Party, LP.
