Anamorphosis is the first EP by Norwegian black metal band Drottnar. This EP was limited to 850 copies and was released in 2003 on Momentum Scandinavia label. The packaging contains a black matte cardboard slipcase with black print and an embossed Drottnar logo.
The original bassist Bjarne Peder Lind left Drottnar before recording this EP, and he was replaced by Håvar Wormdahl. Also, a second guitarist, Bengt Olsson, joined the band for this EP's release. The release saw Drottnar abandoning their folk-influenced Viking black metal style for a more modern and highly technical black metal. Anamorphosis includes the intro "Morphosis" and three actual songs. Both the intro and "Sin Climax" contain violins.
Anamorphosis received mixed reviews. The EP was criticized for unbalanced soundscapes, dry and minimalistic drum sounds and lack of hooks. [1]
Tristania is a Norwegian gothic metal band, formed in 1995 by Morten Veland, Einar Moen and Kenneth Olsson. Tristania's music is usually classified as Gothic metal with death influences, due to its strong tie and legacy within the gothic metal history. Their songs largely deal with dark and sentimental topics, including depression, sadness, suicide, love, absence, and anger.
Graveland are a Polish pagan metal band which was formed in 1991 by Rob Darken. They began as a black metal band before adopting a pagan and Viking metal style. The lyrics and imagery of Graveland are strongly inspired by European mythology, far-right politics, neo-Nazism, nature, winter and war. Their early work focused on Celtic and Slavic mythology, while their later work focuses on Norse mythology and Wotanism.
Horde is the unblack metal solo project of Australian musician Jayson Sherlock, formerly of Mortification and Paramaecium. In 1994 the only album Hellig Usvart was released on Nuclear Blast. With a session line-up, Horde played live-shows in 2006, Norway, and in 2010 in Finland and Germany. Hellig Usvart proved to be a seminal release for the unblack metal movement, and the album was highly controversial in the secular black metal scene at the time it was released.
Terrible Certainty is the third studio album by German thrash metal band Kreator released in 1987 through Noise Records. It was released on cd, cassette, black vinyl, and as a limited edition red vinyl. The remastered version of 2000 contains the tracks of the 1988 Out of the Dark ... Into the Light EP as bonus tracks. Another remastered version was released on June 9, 2017.

Hate is a blackened death metal band from Poland. The band was formed in 1990 by guitarist and vocalist Adam "ATF Sinner" Buszko, guitarist Quack and drummer Mittloff. The band lineup has changed many times over the years, and currently consists solely of Adam Buszko and drummer Paweł Jaroszewicz. They have released ten full-length studio albums to date, as well as a number of early demos and EPs. Their most recent album, Auric Gates of Veles, was released on June 14th, 2019 through Metal Blade Records.
Necromantia is a Greek black metal band that was founded in 1989 in Athens, Greece. Alongside Rotting Christ and Varathron, they are considered to be pioneers in establishing the Greek black metal scene in the early 1990s. The band is notable for the complete lack of rhythm guitar in their music, which is substituted by an eight-string bass guitar. Another notable feature is the band's frequent use of musical instruments not usually associated with black metal, such as the saxophone and flute.
Destiny is a Swedish heavy metal band that was formed in 1980 by Stefan Björnshög (bass) and Magnus Österman (guitar). The band has released seven albums to date. Their debut album Beyond All Sense was released in 1985 and their latest one, Climate Change, in October 2016. The band categorises its music as "mörk rock", which in English translates to "dark rock". Stefan Björnshög is the only remaining member from the original line-up.

Drottnar is an extreme metal band from Fredrikstad, Norway. Formed in 1996, the band has released four albums, Spiritual Battle (2000), Welterwerk (2006), Stratum (2012) and Monolith (2019) and an EP titled Anamorphosis (2003). The first album was released on UK label Plankton Records. They are currently signed to Swedish label Endtime Productions.

Frosthardr is a Norwegian Christian black metal band, formed in 1997. The band plays a rawer type of black metal music with occasional punk influences and lyrics from Christian point of view. The drummer Pål Daehlen (Savn) is a former member of the influential dark metal group Vaakevandring, and the vocalist/guitarist Jokull has played as a live member for the ground breaking act Antestor. Frosthardr has achieved some media notice: They appeared on the British 2007 documentary film Murder Music: A History of Black Metal, and are one of the featured bands on the 2008 documentary film, Light in Darkness – Nemesis Divina, focused on Christian black metal. Signed to Momentum Scandinavia, the band has released a demo and two EPs. In 2007, they played concerts at Cornerstone Festival, Bushnell, Illinois, USA.
Spiritual Battle is the first album by the Norwegian band Drottnar, released in 2000 on the British label Plankton Records. Spiritual Battle is a compilation album of the band's first two demos, both of which were recorded at X-Ray Studios.
Maktesløs is the first EP by the Norwegian unblack metal band Frosthardr released in 2004. The EP mixes the rawness of punkish old school black metal and the complicated song structures of progressive black metal. "Death - My Relief" is often cited as the highlight of the EP. The title track is an industrial music style intro, and the last song "Vandret" is an outro of the same style. The cover art was designed by Samuel Durling, depicting a negative of a black and white graveyard photo, and a logo that contains a crossbow element. Morten Magerøy of Vaakevandring and Antestor fame contributed some keyboards for the EP. Collin of Metal Storm wrote about the album that "This first EP proves that contrary to all expectations [that they were just another black metal band from Norway], Frosthardr is one of the most innovative and inventive bands I've heard this year (2005)."
Greenleaf is a Swedish rock band created as a side project in late 1999/early 2000 by Tommi Holappa (Dozer), Daniel Lidén and Bengt Bäcke. In 2003, Lidén joined Dozer, making three of the four Dozers members also members of Greenleaf, so the band took a back seat until 2007.

Grave Pleasures is a Finnish post-punk band from Helsinki. Formed in 2010, Grave Pleasure's previous incarnation, Beastmilk, released a demo followed by an EP, and later debut full-length Climax. Members Mat McNerney and Valtteri Arino continued the band in 2015 as Grave Pleasures, following Johan Snell and Paile's departure with the group. With new members, Grave Pleasures released Dreamcrash months later.
Stratum is the second full-length studio album by the Norwegian Christian extreme metal band Drottnar, initially released on October 13, 2012 through Endtime Productions. A single was released for the album, "Lucid Stratum", on November 8, 2011, and the band went on a four-stop tour with Deuteronomium and Pantokrator in Finland from May 2–5, 2013. The album features a highly technical and complex form of extreme metal, and met with a positive reception from critics.
Timōrātus, also stylized as TIMŌRĀTUS, began in 2006, as a solo project of David Napier. The band was to begin as a metal band, but Napier, who had injured his hands, began the project with a more programmed electronic foundation. The band describes their style as "Multi-genre metal".
