The Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation is a communist political party in India. The party is represented in Bihar and Jharkhand Legislative Assemblies. Since 2023,the party is also a member of the INDIA electoral alliance. In Bihar,the party has significant base amongst the Extremely Backward Castes and the Schedule Castes. It was successful in mobilising Upper Backward Caste groups such as Koeris in some districts of central Bihar,prior to the rise of Lalu Prasad Yadav. The party faced existential crisis when a large section of its Koeri and Yadav support base defected to Rashtriya Janata Dal in 1990s. However,the ideological commitment of its cadre protected it from disintegration. It staged a comeback in politics after winning twelve seats in Bihar Legislative Assembly in 2020 and by sending two of its members to Lok Sabha in 2024 Indian general elections.
The Marxist Co-ordination Committee was a political party in Jharkhand,India,based around the coal mining region of Dhanbad. The Party operated from 1971 to 2024.
Loknath Mahato was a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the state of Jharkhand,India,elected from constituency Barkagaon which is in the Hazaribagh district of the state. He was first elected in 1995. Since then he has been re-elected three times,representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP),one of the main national parties of India. He was one of the contenders in the 12 December 2019 Jharkhand state assembly elections from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). In 2014,Mahto had left BJP to join All Jharkhand Students Union,when denied ticket to contest from Hazaribagh Lok Sabha constituency. He participated in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and finished at third position.
Ramdeo Verma,also known as Ramdeo Mahto,was an Indian politician,belonging to the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Verma served as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from Bibhutipur from 1980 to 1985 and 1990 to 2010. His wife Manju Prakash also served as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from Buxar from 1990 to 2000. He was a leader of the communist movement in the region of Bibhutipur,popularly known as 'Moscow' of Samastipur. After 2020 November,he joined Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation.

Kushwaha Shivpujan Mehta is the Jharkhand state legislative assembly member from Hussainabad. In the 2014 general election,he was elected as MLA as Bahujan Samaj Party candidate. He joined All Jharkhand Students Union in November 2019,and is now District level chairman of All India Kushwaha Mahasabha,Hazaribagh from 15 December 2020.

In 2020 he defeated his near rival Kamla Devi from Ziradei seat with a margin of more than 25000 votes.

Aklu Ram Mahto was an Indian politician from Jharkhand,who served as Minister for Finance and Institution in undivided Bihar. He was a member of Rashtriya Janata Dal,having served as important functionary in several other political parties in past. He was a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly via Bokaro constituency. He won the Bihar Assembly Election in 1995 securing 99,798 votes. Mahto won Vidhan Sabha elections in the year 1980 and 1995. He had contested Lok Sabha elections from Dhanbad on four occasions while from Giridih and Hazaribagh once. Mahto was also associated with the movement,which started on the question of including Manbhum in West Bengal. He was one of the prominent leader to voice support for the rights of displaced people,who needed rehabilitation after the establishment of Bokaro Steel Plant. For four decades,after coming into existence of Bokaro Assembly constituency in 1977,he remained pivotal in its politics.
Om Prakash Lal,popularly known as O.P Lal,was an Indian politician who served as a Cabinet Minister,Minister of State (MoS) with Independent Charges and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Vidhan Sabha of Government of Bihar. He represented the Baghmara constituency of Jharkhand,then part of undivided Bihar,for three consecutive terms from 1985 to 2000. Lal made significant contributions to the fields of Excise &Probation,Mines &Geology,Tourism,and Information Technology during his political career.
Ramdev Mahato is an Indian politician and a former member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from the Madhubani Assembly constituency. He had been elected from the Madhubani constituency to the Bihar Legislative Assembly four times between 2000 and 2010. Mahato was associated with the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and recognised as an influential leader of the Mithilanchal region of Bihar. In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections,he left the BJP and contested the elections of the Madhubani constituency as an independent candidate,as this constituency was allotted to Vikassheel Insaan Party in a seat sharing arrangement. He returned to the BJP in 2022.
Shiva Mahto was an Indian politician and three time Member of Bihar Legislative Assembly from Dumri Assembly constituency in undivided Bihar. He is a member of Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation. He was first elected in 1995 and retained this constituency in 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections. He is also a politburo member of CPI(ML)L. In 2024 Indian general election,he defeated Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh with a margin of over one lakh votes to win Karakat Lok Sabha constituency. He stood first in the triangular electoral contest involving National Democratic Alliance candidate and Rashtriya Lok Morcha president,Upendra Kushwaha and Pawan Singh.
