Anastasia was born on 22 December 1940 in Regensburg, Bavaria, Nazi Germany, [1] [2] the only child [1] [2] of Prince Eugen of Anhalt and his wife Anastasia Jungmeier [1] [2] and a granddaughter [1] [2] of Eduard, Duke of Anhalt, the penultimate ruler of the Duchy of Anhalt.

Marriage

Anastasia married Prince Maria Emanuel of Saxony, eldest child [1] [2] of Friedrich Christian, Margrave of Meissen, and his wife, Princess Elisabeth Helene of Thurn and Taxis, [1] [2] on 23 June 1962 in Vevey, Vaud, Switzerland. [1] [2] Anastasia and Maria Emanuel do not have children. [1] [2]
