Andreas Hompland (born 18 September 1946 in Kvinesdal) is a Norwegian social scientist, journalist, magazine editor and non-fiction writer.

Hompland is particularly known for his column Sideblikk, published in the newspaper Dagbladet since 1980. Among his books are Sideblikk på maktmenneske frå Alta til Bergen of 1982, Dynastiet Willoch of 1983, and Trender i arbeidslivet (1999, co-written with K. A. Larsen). He edited the periodical Plan og arbeid from 1984 to 1985, and the periodical Plan from 1994 to 1999. [1] [2]

Nils Vogt was a Norwegian journalist and newspaper editor. Born into a family of politicians and civil servants, he became the first chairman of the Norwegian Press Association and the Conservative Press Association. Vogt worked at the conservative newspaper Morgenbladet for 45 years, acting as editor-in-chief from 1894 to 1913. He wrote numerous articles during his lifetime, advocating independence from Sweden and the Riksmål standard of written Norwegian.

Olav Orheim is a Norwegian glaciologist. He served as director of the Norwegian Polar Institute from 1993 to 2005. He was appointed associate professor in glaciology at the University of Bergen in 1989. Orheim was a central participant in the establishment of the research station Troll in Queen Maud Land in Antarctica. Orheim has probably landed atop more icebergs than anyone in the world and was once stranded overnight on one with David Attenborough, the English broadcaster and voice of the nature series "Planet Earth".
