Andreas Ygre Wiig (born 5 March 1981) is a Norwegian professional snowboarder. He rides regular.

Andreas was born in Oslo and grew up in Asker. He made a name for himself when he won two gold medals at the 2007 and 2008 Winter X Games (WXG). [1] In the 2007 Winter X Games' Best Trick competition he went head-to-head and won against Travis Rice, who bailed during both his daring attempts at a Double Cork 1080, [2] and in Slopestyle competition he beat Jussi Oksanen as well as four time defending Slopestyle gold medalist Shaun White, who also was in pursuit of his seventh X-Games gold medal. Wiig already had a bronze medal from WXG 2005 and a silver medal from 2006.

In the 2008 Winter X Games he again beat Shaun White for the slopestyle gold medal. White came 3rd, and Kevin Pearce finished 2nd. [1] After this he signed a contract for $500,000 to move from sponsor Omatic snowboarding to Nitro snowboards which he left in 2009 to join Forum Snowboards. He also rides for Vans Boots and Outerwear, Electric Googles, Vestal Watches, and Rockstar Energy Drink.

Wiig appeared in the music video of Norwegian rock singer Marion Raven's single Falling Away, in 2007 [3] After a few years of dating, Wiig married her in May 2013 and separated in 2015.[ citation needed ]

Andreas Wiig appeared in the 2007 MDP film Picture This.[ citation needed ]

Winter X Games XII were held from January 24 to January 27, 2008 in Aspen, Colorado. They were the 7th consecutive Winter X Games to be held in Aspen. Television coverage of Winter X Games XII was broadcast on ESPN and ABC, primarily hosted by Sal Masekela and Todd Harris. Final attendance for the four-day event was 72,500.

Mark Lee McMorris is a Canadian professional snowboarder who specializes in slopestyle and big air events. A three-time Olympic bronze medallist, he placed third in each of the 2014 Winter Olympics, 2018 Winter Olympics, and 2022 Winter Olympics in the slopestyle event. While filming for Transworld Snowboarding's "Park Sessions" video in March 2011, Mark became the first person to land a Backside Triple Cork 1440. Marcus Kleveland is a Norwegian professional snowboarder who specializes in the slopestyle and big air events. He was the first ever to complete a quad cork 1800 in competition and won gold in Slopestyle and silver in Big Air at his Winter X Games debut in 2017. He also won the world cup of Milan in November 2016. In 2018, he won 2 medals at Winter X Games : Gold at Slopstyle and a 2nd place at Big air. Following the X Games, Kleveland attend his first olympics at only 18, placing 6th in the Men's Slopestyle and 18th in Big Air. After the Winter Olympics he won a 3rd place at 2018 Burton U-S Open Slopestyle. In the Big Air event at X Games 2021 he took home gold. Marcus achieved his best feat in competition obtaining 3 medals at the Winter X Games 2022. He took home gold in the Men's Snowboard Big Air and Men's Snowboard Knuckle Huck as well as a silver in Men's Snowboard Slopestyle. Kleveland went on to place 8th in Men's Slopestyle at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Zoi Sadowski-Synnott is a New Zealand snowboarder, specialising in slopestyle and big air competitions. She won the gold medal in the women's slopestyle and silver in the big air at the 2022 Winter Olympics, becoming New Zealand's first gold medallist and first to win multiple medals at the Winter Olympics. She also won the bronze medal in the women's big air at the 2018 Winter Olympics, and won the women's slopestyle title at the 2019 World Championships.
