Andrew Bairstow (born 16 June 1975) is an English former cricketer. He was a left-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire in 1995.
Bairstow started his career within the Worcestershire Second XI,before moving to Derbyshire,and it was a surprise when the Peakites,without the relative experience of Karl Krikken and defensive technique of Steve Griffiths,called upon the young Bairstow as their cover man. Following an inconspicuous First-class career,Bairstow made a few further appearances for the Derbyshire Second XI before leaving the professional game.[ citation needed ] In total,he played in three first-class matches. [1] He has played club cricket in the Bradford Premier League for Undercliffe,Cleckheaton,East Bierley and Pudsey Congs. He retired from club cricket in 2016. [2]
Bairstow's father,David,was a former Test cricketer for England,and his younger half-brother Jonny is currently a wicket-keeper and batsman for both Yorkshire and England.

He became Derbyshire's first choice wicket-keeper when George Dawkes sustained a career-ending injury. His final First Class appearance was at the Scarborough Festival in 1988. He remained first choice until his retirement except for a short period in 1964 when Laurie Johnson was tried as a batsman-wicketkeeper.
Arthur Dolphin was an English first-class cricketer,who kept wicket for Yorkshire County Cricket Club between 1905 and 1927. He is part of a tradition of Yorkshire wicket-keepers,stretching from Ned Stephenson,George Pinder,Joe Hunter and David Hunter before him,to Arthur Wood,Jimmy Binks,David Bairstow plus Richard Blakey to the present day. The successor to David Hunter as Yorkshire's wicket-keeper he served the county for twenty two years.

George Owen Dawkes was a first-class cricketer who played for Leicestershire between 1937 and 1939 and for Derbyshire between 1947 and 1961 as a wicket keeper and a lower-order right-handed batsman. During the 1949–50 season he toured India with a team of players making up a Commonwealth XI.

Arthur Bairstow was an English first-class cricketer,who played twenty six first-class cricket matches between 1896 and 1902,mainly for Yorkshire County Cricket Club. A specialist wicket-keeper,he took 41 catches and completed 18 stumpings. He was less talented as a right-handed batsman,often batting at number eleven,scoring 79 runs in total at an average of 5.64 and a best of 12.

Johnson is currently playing for the Yorkshire Over 50s side.
