Andrew William Ratcliffe (born 27 April 1955) is an Australian former athlete who competed as a sprinter. He was a four-time New South Wales state 100 metres champion and a Commonwealth Games gold medalist. [1]
Active in the 1970s, Ratcliffe is an Old Boy of Scots College in Sydney and was a GPS record holder. [2] He received coaching from Trinidad Olympic athlete Mike Agostini. [3] In 1973, Ratcliffe represented Australia at the Pacific Conference Games in Toronto and the World University Games in Moscow. [4] He was a 4x100 metres gold medalist at the 1974 British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch (teamed with Greg Lewis, Laurie D'Arcy and Graham Haskell). [5]

Her personal best of 48.63 seconds currently ranks her as the ninth-fastest woman of all time, set while finishing second to Marie-José Pérec's number-four time at the 1996 Olympics. She became the Olympic champion for the women's 400 metres at the 2000 Summer Olympics, at which she lit the Olympic Flame.

Andrew David Jameson is an English sports commentator and former competitive swimmer. Active as an elite swimmer in the mid to late 1980s he represented Great Britain in two consecutive Summer Olympics, the FINA World Championships, LEN European Championships, as well as England in the Commonwealth Games. At his peak between 1986 and 1988 he won the gold medal in 100 metre butterfly at the 1986 Commonwealth Games, the 1987 European Aquatics Championships and the 1987 Summer Universiade, as well as the 100 metre freestyle gold at the same Universiade. Winning the bronze medal at the 1986 World Aquatics Championships, Jameson's career in the pool culminated in winning the bronze medal in the 1988 Summer Olympics, his second and final Olympic Games.

A sporting complex in the Sutherland Shire of Sydney is named in his honor. The people of this Shire were his 'significant others'.

A former British record holder in the 100 m, she has a hand-timed best of 10.9 seconds in 1974 and an auto-timed best of 11.16 secs in 1975. Her 200 metres best is 23.15 secs in 1975.
