Andriy Pryveda (born 1 January 1986) is a Ukrainian rower. He competed in the Men's eight event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. [1] [2]

Egypt competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012, sending one of its largest delegations ever. A total of 110 Egyptian athletes participated in 83 events across 20 sports, with more women taking part than ever before. The nation's flagbearer in the opening ceremonies was Hesham Mesbah, a judoka who was Egypt's only medalist at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Egypt won two medals during the course of the Games: Alaaeldin Abouelkassem earned silver in the men's foil, becoming the first competitor from an African nation to win a fencing medal, while Karam Gaber captured silver in the men's 84 kg Greco-Roman wrestling event. Two Egyptian weightlifters were awarded medals retroactively, after higher-ranked competitors were disqualified for doping: Abeer Abdelrahman took silver in the women's 75 kg event, while Tarek Yehia, received bronze in the men's 85 kg event. Among other achievements, Mostafa Mansour was the nation's first competitor in sprint canoeing while fencer Shaimaa El-Gammal became the first Egyptian female to appear in four editions of the Olympics.

Aleksandr Dryhol is a Ukrainian-born Israeli, formerly Ukrainian and Soviet track and field athlete primarily known for the Hammer throw. He was selected to compete for Ukraine in the 2012 Summer Olympics, his first Olympic selection at the age of 46. He is the current world record holder in the M45 division of masters athletics at 79.42 m. In 2016, at the age of 50, he switched his country of eligibility to Israel, where he had been living for several years. On 1 June, with a 77.70 m (254 ft 11 in) throw in Jablonec nad Nisou, he qualified for the Olympics again. At that point in time he was the #7 thrower in the world that year. For the second time, he would have been the oldest competitor in Athletics competition at the Olympics. His throw does not count as a Masters M50 world record because the implement he throws for open competition is 1.26 kg heavier than the normal implement for the M50 age group. His throw was almost 6 meters further than Jud Logan's record with the lighter implement. He is the last remaining active athlete to have competed for the Soviet Union.

Andriy Olehovych Shafranyuk is a Ukrainian former sailor, who specialized in the multihull (Tornado) class. Together with his partner Pavlo Kalynchev, he was named one of the country's top sailors in the mixed multihull catamaran for the 2008 Summer Olympics, finishing in a distant thirteenth position. Throughout his competitive sporting career, Shafranyuk trained as a member of the sailing squad for Ukraïna Mykolaïv.
